Excerpts from My book, "Holiness and Victory Over Sin," Part 11
by Karl Kemp
We discuss some more key verses which demonstrate that Christians are called, enabled, and required to live in an abiding state of holiness, by the saving grace of God in Christ, through faith. "For this is the will of God, your sanctification [your holiness]; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality [and every other sin]." What God calls us to do, He enables us to do! Also, forgiveness is provided for Christians if they should sin when they repent.

Excerpts from My book, "Holiness and Victory Over Sin," Part 10
by Karl Kemp
Christians are called to live in an abiding state of holiness, by grace, through faith. This is the ideal, but there is intense opposition from the world, the flesh (the old man who wants to continue in sin), and the devil and his hosts. The primary passage we will discuss here in Part 10 is Eph. 5:22-33. In Eph. 5:27 the apostle Paul said (as he had said in Eph. 1:4) that we are to be "holy and blameless." What God calls us to do, He enables us to do!

Excerpts from My Book, "Holiness and Victory Over Sin," Part 9
by Karl Kemp
After further discussing the meaning of the Greek noun aphesis in Luke 4:18 and Isaiah 61:1-3, we discuss Colossians 1:9-14. Aphesis is used in Col. 1:14. We are released from our sins with the guilt and the penalties through salvation in Christ (which includes our being released from the major penalties of spiritual death and bondage to sin).

Excerpts from My Book, "Holiness and Victory Over Sin," Part 8
by Karl Kemp
We discuss Romans 5:9-11 and 17-21, which are key verses on righteousness, holiness, and the victory over sin. Then we begin the excerpts from chapter 7 (of my book), "The Meaning of the Greek Noun 'Aphesis.' " A better understanding of this Greek noun will help us better understand Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14 (and several other verses), which are key verses on righteousness, holiness, and the victory over sin.

Excerpts from My Book, "Holiness and Victory Over Sin," Part 7
by Karl Kemp
We discuss key verses from Romans chapters 3, 4, and 5 here in Part 7. In Romans 5:8 the apostle Paul said "while we were yet sinners" and in 5:10 he said "while we were yet enemies [of God]." We are called, enabled, required, and privileged to stop sinning against God, "having now been justified by His blood" (Rom. 5:9). The victory over sin is far from being automatic, or always easy, but the grace of God is sufficient.

Excerpts from My Book, "Holiness and Victory Over Sin," Part 6
by Karl Kemp
We discuss some key verses from Romans chapters 2 and 3 (and Romans 1:16, 17) which demonstrate that the righteousness of God comes to those who submit to the gospel by faith. This includes our being forgiven and our being redeemed from the kingdom of spiritual death and bondage to sin and living in the (imparted) righteousness of God, with the victory over sin. The Greek verb "dikaioo" (justify/make righteous) is used in this full sense in Rom. 3:24 and other verses.

Excerpts from My Book, "Holiness and Victory Over Sin," Part 5
by Karl Kemp
After discussing 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 (which deal with love and the charismatic gifts) and 2 Corinthians 12:1-10 (which deal with Paul's thorn in the flesh), we come to the heading, "Some of the Reasons there Have Not Been More Healing and Health in the Christian Church." In the last two pages we start the excerpts from chapter 6, "A Study on the Meaning of 'Justify/Justification' as these Words Are Used in the New Testament," which is a very important chapter.

Excerpts from My Book, "Holiness and Victory Over Sin," Part 4
by Karl Kemp
Spiritual healing is much more important than physical healing, and we need the right priorities; however, I believe we give a very wrong impression of God if we say that He is not directly concerned about the physical, mental, and emotional needs of His people. The more that people see what God is really like, the more He will be glorified.

Excerpts from My Book, "Holiness and Victory Over Sin," Part 3
by Karl Kemp
We discuss Isaiah 53:6 and 11, two super-important verses. Verse 11 prophesied that the Righteous One would make His people Righteous through His all-important atoning death. We go on to chapter 4 of my book, "A Study to Show that Under the Old Covenant Sickness Was Typically Considered to be Part of the Punishment/Penalty/Chastisement for Sin."

Excerpts from My Book, "Holiness and Victory Over Sin," Part 2
by Karl Kemp
A better understanding of the Hebrew nouns for sin, iniquity, and transgression used in Isaiah chapter 53 will enable us to far better understand Isaiah chapter 53, which is one of the most important passages in the Bible, if not the most important passage, that deals with the all-important atoning death of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Excerpts from My Book, "Holiness and Victory Over Sin," Part 1 (of 11 Parts)
by Karl Kemp
My primary reason for publishing these extensive excerpts from my book, "Holiness and Victory Over Sin: Full Salvation Through the Atoning Death of the Lord Jesus Christ," is to make this important information available to the Body of Christ. I would also like to encourage those who appreciate my teaching on this super-important topic to obtain a copy of the book

Some Powerful (Rather Shocking) Statements in 1 John: Christians Are to be Pure and Righteous just as the Son of God is Pure and Righteous; God's Love Perfected in Us; etc., Part 3
by Karl Kemp
We discuss 1 John 3:3 and 7, which are powerful (rather shocking) verses calling us to be pure and righteous as the Lord Jesus is pure and righteous, which certainly excludes all sin. This is good news! The grace of God enables us to do what God calls us to do, and no true Christian wants to continue to sin, not even one act of sin! There is intense warfare against us from the world, the flesh (the old man who wants to continue in sin), and the devil and his hosts, but God's grace is greater!

MISSIONS OF GOD FROM THE BOOK OF JOSHUA
by Louise Lee
This study is to establish this connection by tracing through the history of man to find the origin of missions, and its extension through Abrahamic covenant, and its actualization in Joshua's conquest of the Promised Land to the ultimate fulfillment of the seed of promise in Jesus, which constituted the Great Commission to his followers until today, and concludes with valuable principles draw from the Book of Joshua that are applicable to 21st Century missions.

HOW TO LIVE FOREVER - A THEMATIC STUDY IN GOSPEL OF JOHN
by Louise Lee
This study seeks to explore the development of the major theme of "eternal life" in the Gospel of John in its meaning to the intended readers, giving attention to two chiastic passages (1:1-18 & 11:1-4), and conclude with application for today's readers.

This study seeks to examine the passage of Genesis 22:1-19 from the original intent of the divine narrator (the Holy Spirit) through its literary forms, so as to understand and apply the theological understanding of God into 21st century Christian living.

Some Powerful (Rather Shocking) Statements in 1 John: Christians Are to be Pure and Righteous just as the Son of God is Pure and Righteous; God's Love Perfected in Us; etc., Part 2
by Karl Kemp
We discuss 1 John 4:7-19 verse-by-verse here in Part 2. The apostle John emphasizes that Christians are called, enabled, and required to love the other members of the born-again family of God with the very special, supernatural love of God for us (His born-again children) that is in us by the indwelling Spirit of God. John 17:23 shows that the Father loves us with the very special love that He has for His beloved Son! The New Testament makes it clear that we are called, enabled, and required to love God first and foremost, and to love all people.

This Battle Is Not Yours, But God's
by Cindie York
Facing one battle after another and feeling defeated, I turned to the Word of God to find answers and direction. I was seeking an understanding of why I am not receiving the victory. I was searching for the missing link.

Some Powerful (Rather Shocking) Statements in 1 John: Christians Are to be Pure and Righteous just as the Son of God is Pure and Righteous; God's Love Perfected in Us; etc., Part 1 (in 3 Parts)
by Karl Kemp
1 John probably has more verses (percentage wise) dealing with the call, enablement, requirement, and privilege for Christians to walk in the righteousness of God with the victory over all sin than any other book of the Bible. And some of the verses of this epistle are rather shocking; speaking, for example, of US PURIFYING OURSELVES AS THE LORD JESUS IS PURE in 1 John 3:3. In spite of this, most Christians believe that 1 John 1:8 proves that it is impossible for Christians to stop sinning in this world. I'm sure the majority is wrong!
