What God Expects From Children
by Mark Nickles
We see first that children are to obey their parents, simply because it is the righteous thing to do. Righteousness is a Godly characteristic. When children obey their parents, they are imitating Christ, as we see in Luke 2:51 - Then he (Jesus) went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them (his parents). "But, WHY is it right?" someone may ask.

What God Expects From Moms
by Mark Nickles
According to Titus 2:4-5, the older women in a church are to instruct the younger wives and mothers how to "love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God." Much offense has been taken at any mention of women being in the home, and being subject to their husbands. As far as being in the home, many mistakenly believe that Biblical teaching to mean that women are to have NO other interests outside the home; the Bible never sets this restriction.

What God Expects From Dads
by Mark Nickles
Ephesians 5:25-30 makes it very clear how a husband is to love his wife. First, it says that he is to love her "just as Christ loved the church, and gave himself up for her". Christ's purpose, according to the passage, was to make the church holy and acceptable to God. The implications are powerful, as husbands are called to love their wives sacrificially, and do all in their power to influence them in a Christian manner.
