Some Things We Should Know About the Meaning of the Words "Spirit" and "Soul," Part 1 (of 2 Parts)
by Karl Kemp
There is some popular teaching around the Body of Christ that substantially confuses the meaning of the words spirit and soul. This leads, for one thing, to a serious misinterpretation of verses like James 1:21. Although the words are not fully equivalent in meaning, typically the words are used in the New Testament with no substantial difference in meaning.

Holiness and Victory Over Sin #28
by Karl Kemp
This is the last article in the 28 article series. We will disuss Eph. 5:3-8; Col. 1:21-23; and 1 Pet. 1:13-19, with some emphasis on seeing how the words holy and saints are used in these passages. We are called (and enabled and required and privileged) to be holy and blemeless and to be holy as God is holy! That is a very high calling, but what God calls us to do, He enables us to do, at a very high cost to Himself and His Son!

OBSCURE TEACHINGS OF PAUL
by
It is not always clear as to what Paul had to say, I call his teachings obscure. Peter said he didn't always understand him.
Peter also said that we come to understand truth through education and by the GRACE of God. One can be the most learned theologian and still not know the truth without the Grace of God. God oftentimes uses "door openers" to expose truth..maybe I'll be one of them.

The Bible and Reincarnation
by Robert Randle
There is doubtless no true Bible-believing Christian who could in all good conscience accept the doctrine of reincarnation or transmigration of souls. For the faithful the issue is clear as day because Hebrews 9: 27 states: "It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."

What does the appearance of God look like?
by Robert Randle
It has been said that God made man in His own image and then subsequently, man turns around and makes God in his image. No matter how much some pious and devoted believers have been presumably "inspired" to create and fashion great works of Christian iconographic art as well as architectural wonders throughout the world, still does such human effort not violate the basic preamble to the Jewish Torah in Exodus [Shemot] chapter 20?

The Mid-Week Rapture #23
by Karl Kemp
We will discuss Rev. 19:11-20:3 in this article. Many Christians (including those who hold the pre-week and end-of-the-week rapture viewpoints) think the Lord will return to judge the world at Rev. 19:11, near the end of Daniel's 70th week. But Rev. 19:11, 13 show that His robe has already being dipped in the blood of His enemies, because (for one thing) He will have returned and totally destroyed Babylon the great harlot by judgment before we get to Rev. 19:11, 13.

The Mid-Week Rapture #22
by Karl Kemp
We'll discuss Rev. 19:1-11. The interpretation of Rev. 19:11 is of key importance. For one thing, this verse (in its context) doesn't fit well with the pre-week or end-of-the-week rapture viewpoints.

Holiness and Victory Over Sin #27
by Karl Kemp
We continue with the study of the meaning of the super-important words, sanctify, holiness, holy, and saint in this article. It's good news to learn that Christians are called to walk in an abiding state of holiness through the atoning death of the Lord Jesus Christ, by the enablement of the Holy Spirit, through faith. The passages that use these words that we will discuss in this article are Rom. 6:19, 22; 12:1; 2 Cor. 6:14-7:1; 1 Thess. 3:13; 4:1-8; 5:23; and 2 Tim. 2:21.

The Christian, the Law, and Legalism, Part 5
by Karl Kemp
We'll discuss passages of the Bible which show that Christians are enabled, and required, to live/walk in God's righteousness and holiness, which includes doing the works required by His word/law (moral law)/commandments. For one thing, we can and we must think and walk by the Holy Spirit. We will also discuss the fact that although the Mosaic Law has been set aside in a very real sense by the new covenant, God's moral law, which derives from His nature, has not been, and cannot be, set aside.

The Christian, the Law, and Legalism, Part 2
by Karl Kemp
Verse-by-verse studies of Rom. 2:1-16; 2:26-29; and 8:4 are included in this article, which are very important passages dealing with this topic and righteousness, holiness, and the victory over sin. They show, for one thing, that Christians are enabled, and required, to keep God's moral law, by grace, through faith.

Holiness and Victory Over Sin #26
by Karl Kemp
This article includes a verse-by-verse study of Eph. 5:22-33, which is a very interesting, very important passage that speaks of our being sanctified through the atoning death of the Lord Jesus Christ, so that the church (every individual Christian) might be holy and blameless before Him. We are united with Him (the two have become one), and we must (we have the privilege to) be faithful to Him by His sufficient grace.

Holiness and Victory Over Sin #25
by Karl Kemp
Starting with Heb. 10:14, which is a very important verse, we will complete the study of Heb. 10:8-18 that we started in the last article. "For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified" (Heb. 10:14). This verse builds on Heb. 10:10, "By this will [the will of God, which was spoken of in verses 7, 9] we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."
