Learning to Share

I remember the day,
clear and bright,
when I first experienced
the Savior's light.

It filled me with
such adoration,
I wanted to share it
with all the nation.

I told everyone
wherever I went,
of the Message
our Savior sent.

The Miracle of
what he's done.
That God has given
us his Son.

So guilt and shame
would live no longer,
and that God's love
is always stronger,

than anything in
life we suffer,
by Jesus blood
we are tougher.

I did not see
in their faces,
that my exuberance
was a little graceless.

In humor some watched
but I didn't see.
They were making
fun of me.

In abruptness some
gave me leave,
but it was something
I barely perceived.


It was happening so
often now.
I started asking
the Lord just how,

I was suppose to
expand his Kingdom,
when I could
get no one to listen.

My heart grew heavy
and I began to ask,
"Where is the light
in which I basked?

Spirit was it you,
or my imagination
That seemed to grasp
your creation?"

I hit my knees
and started to pray
He'd show me
where I went astray.

I prayed He'd
shine a light,
to guide me in
what was right

"It's Your will,"
my Lord I prayed,
"forgive me for the
mistakes I've made.

Give me wisdom
for the future,
so I might be
a worthwhile teacher.

Then I felt an
inward peace.
All my confusion
was released.

Like a child
I need to grow.
Thank you Lord
now I know.
