Government Christmas
by Stanley Davis
12/12/2008 / Politics
Christmas, that wonderful time of the year. While our thoughts are on the joy Christmas brings, lets take a look at Christmas and what the future holds for us in America. It would appear things are moving in the wrong direction for the Christian. Our newly elected Government will come into office and try to change times and seasons, so to speak, allowing our moral standards to decline even further. Proclaiming to you and me that we are wrong to be Christians because we will not accept the changes they will make. A liberal government will give us a liberal nation where anything and everything is okay. It would seem our country has not learned any lessons from Sodom and Gomorrah. I guess they believe God has changed and will over look it this time. (The unchanging God). What will the Christian face in the coming years as American society moves forward in removing the name of Jesus Christ. We already have many department stores, malls and even Government offices that have removed Merry Christmas and replaced it with Seasons Greetings and Happy Holidays so as not to offend anyone, they want to remain neutral to all peoples, and their religions. We know the real reason is money and guilt. When it comes to a rich man and his money, Jesus is standing far to the left. If you haven't heard yet, society is making the claim that religion, economy and politics are to be separated. That alone is destructive, as we see. Our newly elected Government could say in the coming months or years that the use of Merry Christmas must not be displayed any more because it is offensive and we are a nation of different religions, a mixed up people, and I do mean mixed up. I wonder what the new standardize Government Christmas will be like. You know as well as I do the Christian will be affected most in all this, because we have the truth and nobody likes it. I wonder if the lighting of the Christmas tree each year will continue. All this and much more to a country founded on Christian beliefs and morals, look how far we have ran in the opposite direction. We left European countries because of religious persecution and now if we stand for Christ in America we will be persecuted. Just remember if you are a Christian, the Spirit of Christmas lives on in each of us. Jesus Christ, the baby born in a manger, died on a wooden cross, and rose from the dead, taught us to give and it will be given to you, to forgive and you will be forgiven. This Christmas season there is more to be thankful about than ever before, because what the prophets spoke so long ago is about to take place and you and I are here as witnesses to this great and terrible event. That's right, no matter what some scholar may tell you. Jesus could come at any moment. Please remember this Christmas season to always say Merry Christmas to every one you meet, and oh, by the way, Jesus loves you. Lets keep Jesus in America.
