Thoughts of Fear

The disabled label frequently overshadows lives of those who are handicapped. Yet, most of us have handicaps of one kind or another. I believe that anything that holds me back from God given potential is a handicap. Fears and anxieties have always topped the list. I’m not powerless.

God gives me supernatural abilities; I'm an overcomer in victory.

“Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. Only let us hold true to what we have attained (Philippians 3:12-16 ESV).”

Truth conquers... “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 ESV).”

I refuse to be held captive by thoughts of fear.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 ESV).”
