SOUL DANCE (excerpt): How to Have More Heaven and Less Hell

by Tonja Taylor
5/23/2024 / Christian Living

Most people on the planet want a better life. Especially when we are true Believers in the LORD Jesus Christ by faith in what His blood shed on the cross did for us in cleansing us from our sins (once we truly believe and receive Him as Savior and LORD!), we know we are redeemed from the curse, and should have Heaven on earth!

That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth. -- Deut. 11:21, KJV

According to Psalm 16, if a person worships something or someone besides the true and living God, Jesus Christ, the only Savior of the world, the Messiah, then that person will have multiplied sorrows. Sorrow is grief, depression, etc.--part of the curse, and we were never meant to experience such junk. Sorrow is the opposite of peace and joy.

But when we focus on the LORD (and His Holy Spirit will help us do this!); when we realize that, once we truly are born again by repenting of our sins and confessing faith in what Christ Jesus did for us, that we are right with God, and we can (and should, for there is power in praise, and He is worthy of all our worship!) He is with us always--loving and guiding and protecting and providing and more!

Hallelujah!

As for the saints (godly people) who are in the land, They are the majestic and the noble and the excellent ones in whom is all my delight. The sorrows [pain and suffering] of those who have chosen another god will be multiplied [because of their idolatry]; I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood, Nor will I take their names upon my lips.   I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my innermost self] rejoices; My body too will dwell [confidently] in safety, - Psalm 16:3-4,8-9 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm16:3-4,8-9&version=AMP

We have instruction from God on how to be successful, but we must use the power of our free will to choose to commit (dedicate; decide to be faithful to) the plans of our lives to the LORD; hourly, daily, monthly, yearly--life-long!

He gives us wise guidance! God gives us wisdom when we ask (James 1:5), and actually, Christ in us is Wisdom (verse).

So, it is up to us whether we have Heaven or hell on earth, every day, throughout the day! God has given us His matchless, unchanging, eternal Word, which is applicable to every part of our lives.

Where there is no [wise, intelligent] guidance, the people fall [and go off course like a ship without a helm], But in the abundance of [wise and godly] counselors there is victory. - Proverbs 11:14 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs11:14&version=AMP

His Spirit always works with His Word to help us understand specific choices we must make.  When we truly honor the LORD, and want His perfect will for us, He will be faithful to guide us into the very best Plan for us.

The more we align our free wills and plans with what we know He wants, the less hell and more Heaven we will experience! It is a process, but so worth the effort and journey!

Commit your works to the Lord [submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance].By mercy and lovingkindness and truth [not superficial ritual] wickedness is cleansed from the heart, And by the fear of the Lord one avoids evil. In the light of the king’s face is life, And his favor is like a cloud bringing the spring rain. The highway of the upright turns away and departs from evil; He who guards his way protects his life (soul). He who pays attention to the word [of God] will find good, And blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) is he who trusts [confidently] in the Lord. The wise in heart will be called understanding, And sweet speech increases persuasiveness and learning [in both speaker and listener].Understanding (spiritual insight) is a [refreshing and boundless] wellspring of life to those who have it, But to give instruction and correction to fools is foolishness. - Proverbs 16:3,6,15,17,20-22 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs16:3,6,15,17,20-22&version=AMP
