GOD'S SONG

All you children of God

harken His rhythmic tones amid the leaves,

like a divine discussion;

His elusive creatures among the trees.

 

Inspired like a child’s laughter;

glowing warm for the world untold,

a glorious sound to envelop the ear,

when air, land and sea grow cold.

 

Such an inspired pleasure

a tone to carry Paradise’ Sound;

enlightening, as in Heaven,

like the joy of saints receiving crowns.

 

Like God’s Song wafting downward;

they sing from way up in the sky,

while happily they gather;

releasing enchanting lyrics as they fly.

 

Extending their wings they soar in their realm

without words,

yet their song captivates,

as we harken

and thank God for creating birds.
