MARRIAGE/COMMITMENT According To JESUS

A man of God can be faithful to his woman/wife, even in his mind’s eye. Therefore, to all women considering marriage, never let your man try to convince you that a wandering eye is normal and should be acceptable to you, because that is NOT what JESUS says, and we all need to believe what HE says over people, even those we are closest to:

²⁷“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ²⁸But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. ²⁹If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. ³⁰And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.” (Matthew 5:17-30)

Women can use this built in screening process our Lord God has provided. Find out prior to marriage whether or not your potential future husband has a wandering eye; better to face the truth prior to making that commitment!

There are many women that have given in to this condition; believing whole-heartedly that it’s normal or even healthy for men to fantasize about sleeping with other women. But this is a lie:

^25 “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, ²⁶that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, ²⁷that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. ²⁸So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. ²⁹For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. ³⁰For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. ³¹“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” (Ephesians 5:25-31)

Furthermore, men can pray for deliverance from this plague, and see it as the sin it truly is….

The only godly way of dealing with this issue, and all sinful thinking for that matter, is to bring it to God’s Throne, lay it all at His Feet and plead with Him for the removal of any and all unholy feelings, desires and attitudes. And He WILL!

Women can certainly pray as well, however, if her intended is not praying likewise, his free will goes unchecked and that couple will go forward with fidelity remaining in great risk.

“And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched—" (Mark 9:45)

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24)

“Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; He who does so destroys his own soul.” (Proverbs 6:32)

“Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.” (Hebrews 13:4)
