Psalm 22:3
But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.

The late evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke tells the story of how he was scheduled to speak in a certain town in Africa. The event was being held in a large auditorium and, from early in the day, people started flocking to the hall to hear the great evangelist speak. Unbeknownst to the organisers or Reinhard Bonnke, three witch doctors entered the auditorium and sat down in the front row. They intended to curse Bonnke by the power of their witchcraft. Because so many people were coming to Christ in their region, these witch doctors were losing business hand over fist so they planned to kill Bonnke by witchcraft.

After a time of prayer in a side room, Reinhard Bonnke came on stage. Taking the microphone, the first word that came from his mouth was a hearty, hallelujah! At that, the three witch doctors jumped up, and screaming, ran from the hall. The power of praise.

Indeed, praise is a powerful weapon. God’s word tells us that our battle is not against man but against evil demonic forces in heavenly realms. And it says that the weapons we fight with are not of this world. Our weapons are supernatural and powerful enough for the tearing down of strongholds and taking every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ. And praise is one of those weapons. So, hallelujah!

Hallelujah is a word comprised of two Hebrew terms: hall?"l meaning joyful praise and Yah a shortened form of God’s name, YHWH (Yahweh). Scripture also tells us that God inhabits our praises. Therefore, every time you shout a hallelujah you are creating a throne for Yahweh here on earth. God is enthroned in your songs of praise and where God is enthroned Satan cannot dwell. So, hallelujah!

Hallelujah in the face of adversity. What is your adversity today, sickness, need, depression, anxiety or uncertainty? Listen:

By his wounds, you have been healed.

God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

He has given you a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

Cast all your care upon him, for he cares for you.

God knows the plans he has for you, plans for a future filled with hope.So I say, hallelujah in the face of adversity!

God-tracking is joyfully shouting, hallelujah!

SO, DON’T GIVE UP, LOOK UP & PRAY

“Whenever I praise your name, you establish your throne. Help me, O lord, to never stop singing, hallelujah!”

“Hallelujah my God reigns! Dear Lord God, you are mighty in battle and the battle is yours tomorrow, not mine. When I face calamity, sickness, need, depression or uncertainty I will shout, hallelujah! Hallelujah in the face of my adversity because whenever I praise your name, you establish your throne. Help me, O Lord, to never stop singing, hallelujah! Amen.”
