BLUEPRINT FOR LIFE

Thought: Recently I was listening to a televangelist and a red light went on. When I compared his message to the scriptures it didn’t line up. The camera spanned the audience showing thousands of people who were in agreement with his message. I asked myself, “how could so many people be deceived?” Could it be they have no foundation in the Word to be able to test truth from false teaching? Many hear the scriptures during their once-a-week church attendance, but do they open the Bible the rest of the week? When a bank teller is trained, they know precisely what a good bill looks like so that they can immediately recognize a false one.

How many study the real truth to be able to identify when something is not biblical? You don’t build a house without a blueprint. It has detailed instructions for the plumber, electrician, carpenter, and other skilled craftsman. Our bodies are similar to building a house. Our Creator Craftsman was the electrician, plumber and carpenter that also made the exterior to form a living human being, you, and me. We are intricately and wonderfully made. Our Creator left us with a blueprint to guide us through this life. Build up that knowledge of His blueprint by the reading of His Word every day. Here are just a few of His instructions:

II Tim: 3:16 ‘The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right. It is God’s way of making us well prepared at every point, fully equipped to do good to everyone.”

Heb. 4:12 “For whatever God says to us is full of living power; it is sharper than the sharpest dagger, cutting swift and deep into our innermost thoughts and desires with all their parts, exposing us for what we really are.”

Prov. 4:13 “Carry out my instructions; don’t forget them, for they will lead you to real living.”

Psalms 119:105 “Your WORDS are a flashlight to light the path ahead of me and keep me from stumbling.”

Rom. 15:4 KJ “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope”

Psalms 119:18,19 “Open my eyes to see wonderful things in your WORD.”

Prayer: Father God, help me to do better in applying your WORD to my mind and heart so I might not sin against you. Amen

Verse: Prov. 2:6-10 “For the Lord grants wisdom! His every WORD is a treasure of knowledge and understanding. He grants good sense to the godly—his saints. He is their shield, protecting them and guarding their pathway. He shows how to distinguish right from wrong, how to find the right decision every time. For wisdom and truth will enter the very center of your being filling your life with joy”
