One Way to Strengthen Relationships With Students and Families

He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend.--Prov. 22:11, KJV

Excellent communication to the glory of God among people is always His plan. 

Our students and families need to know they are important to us, and not just on parent-teacher nights, nor just during class time.

The LORD inspired me this morning to send a list of five learning resources (that are free, overall) to all my online students, with a short note reminding them I'm on vacation the first week of January, and blessings for a happy New Year.

It was a little but meaningful gift to them, and, I bet, a delightful surprise to get this email from me. It shows I'm thinking of them, even outside of school hours.

(By the way, I also tell me students early in our sessions that I pray for them daily, and I also pray for the LORD to help me help them. I haven't had any of them yet act scornful about that, even if they are openly of a different relilgion. Of course, true Christianity is not a religion, but a relationship with the living God, Jesus Christ the LORD! Hallelujah!)

I've used some of these resources during tutoring sessions with my students, but there is a lot to explore.

Parents are busy, and many of my students don't get online outside of school time without their parents, but by sending these resources, I'm believing this will help the parents allow their students to get on these sites and learn, and perhaps even share a bit of time discussing some of these concepts with them.
