Speedily

It will soon become too late. The book of Ecclesiastes in chapter three and in verse one discloses, "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."

It means that a thing not accomplished in its due season will soon be late or become expired. Thus becoming of no use. In the same vein, any purpose not accomplished at the right time will not produce the required result(s).

As it is with the physical, so it is with the spiritual.

I remember a story of a Minister of God which was told me some years ago. What happened to him? It was during his graduation from a Bible College that a public prophecy came from a man he never knew that, "It is already late for him to start God's work because those he was sent to had all died."

The man was reported to have died on the same day. It means he had no reason to be alive again.

Delay is dangerous! This is true in the case of God's work. Procastination is a thief of time and an enemy of a Minister of God. This is because God wants His work to be done as at when due. Delaying it is as good as disobeying His commandment; and this may call for being sanctioned by the Lord. May we not attract the chastisement of God.

Certain gentile kings appreciate the value of doing something with speed or speedily.
King Cyrus of Persia was commanded by God to build Him a house in Jerusalem. He swung into action to get things done in time. He issued a decree to back it up.

However, because of the efforts of the enemies of God's work, it could not be completed in time.

The works resumed during the reign of Darius, the king of Persia. The Holy Bible reveals this about speed, "I, Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed." Ezra 6:12(d).
The officials involved has these words recorded about them, "so they did speedily." vs 13(d).

King Artaxerxes while supporting people of God in their offerings has this recorded about him, "That thou mayest buy speedily with this money Bullock's, Rams, lambs,..."

The same king, according to God's instructions, decreed that whatever the Priest and Scribe, Ezra, request from Government treasurers must be supplied "speedily".

What is left for a man of God and His people to do than to swing into action when God has made all necessary provisions for His works? The works must be carried out speedily in order to finish it on time for the glory of the Living God who has all authority in Heaven and on Earth.

Brethren, what have you been commissioned to do for the Lord? Are you prepared to do it speedily? Before He gives you the assignment, He had made provision sufficient to finish it. Stop differing it to any other time. Do it speedily and you will be rewarded bountifully in Jesus name.
Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

*Accept the truth that you are a sinner and cannot help yourself.
*Confess all your sins to the Lord Jesus Christ and ask Him to forgive you, He will surely do.
*Ask the Lord to occupy and control your heart forever.
*Request Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit to with you forever.
* Obtain a copy of the Holy Bible for daily reading and application for great benefits.
*Join an assembly of God's children where the Scripture is held in high esteem for fellowship and growth.
'May the Lord help you to walk with Him for the rest of your life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
