HE STRETCHES US!

There are a plethora of Bible stories, all of which we can derive valuable lessons to apply to our lives, but some lessons may not be as obvious as others.

Take the story of Jesus feeding the five thousand with only two fish and five loaves of bread for example. The primary take-away is clearly the provision of the Lord; always there for us regardless of our need/s. But perhaps there’s a less obvious aspect to that provision…

The fact that Jesus had such a meager amount of food and could have just multiplied it in demonstration of His Miraculous Powers, but chose rather to use His Power to inconspicuously extend what was given Him to cover the entire five thousand depicts a more hidden blessing in provision; one that may require a closer look to unveil…

“17 And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish." 18 He said, “Bring them here to Me.” 19 Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. 20 So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. 21 Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.” (Matthew 14:17-21)

It would appear that Jesus was not looking for accolades, just to feed His flock. It’s enough to make one wonder what sort of things He may be doing that go unnoticed. Perhaps it would behoove His followers of today to try and catch His secret stretching behind the scenes of life and stand in awe of Him and thank Him profusely.

Even if it’s not overtly apparent, if we look closely enough, we just may find His Miraculous Provision stemming from some aspect of need in our lives.

Our Incredible God provides in miraculous ways, some we certainly do see, but some we may not be so clear at first glance….

Personal Notation: I feel so sure of what I have supplied, but sometimes when I go to my closet, I discover that I have more of something than I thought, and things also tend to last longer than I would expect……... And this actually happens fairly often.....Hmmmmm (!)

And I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet.’” (Deuteronomy 29:5)
