The Soul's Journey

What awaits us is the Truth only if we listen with our hearts...

As we gaze high toward the mountains, there is a remembrance that ignites our hearts to the realization of the magnificent kingdom of God. Our desire and will become united to the divine life force so that we will follow this quest that has been embedded within us, since the beginning of time. Faith will be our vision, and trust is the compelling force that will move us forward to begin our journey to the stars.

Our struggle will be to rise above the obstacles that have been set against our human nature. But if we trust and have faith in God, the light will guide us in the right direction. The vision of our goal will become clearer and more defined toward our quest, because the road has been already paved for each of us. Our life is our soul's journey through time and space. 

In our journey, we will be faced with many challenges. There will be plateaus and valleys along the way, because life is a learning process. Some terrain will not be difficult to pass through, and some will stretch us beyond endurance. God assures us that He will give us the strength and courage to endure and persevere along such a path. God is our source, not our circumstances. We must never look back, but keep focusing on our climb to the top. All of our failures, regrets, and mistakes are gone forever because in God's world, only the present exists. He holds the future in His hands, so, therefore, we are being renewed each moment by His grace.

As we ascend toward the goal, our souls are awakened onto the plain of difference and indifference. We are now living in two worlds. The focus must always be on the light to keep climbing without any regard to our own understanding. Our will must be connected solely to God's Will. This is the total surrender of our ego (worldly understanding) to divine understanding (wisdom). 

At times, we will be taken upon plateaus to rest, so we can envision our upward climb. In these moments of rest, we replenish ourselves with knowledge and wisdom by His Almighty Words. Throughout our journey, we are never alone. We are assisted by God's heavenly bodies, angels, to carry us through the rough terrain, and encourage us to continue on difficult roads. Once the glorious vision of God's world is given to us, we can never go back to the world as we had envisioned it. 

As we continue, there will be times when we feel off balance and jolted from this glorious state. It is our human nature that is challenged each day, with temptations that relentlessly attack our mind, body, and spirit. The mind must be silenced and arrested from all prior thought of reasoning and understanding. This is a time when humility makes us fell unworthy and undeserving of this privilege to reach our destination. We must humbly confront these feelings to be free of its power and control over our mind and heart. We have now entered into the purification of our minds, and hearts. It is the only way to truth, and the reason for our existence. 

During this purification, our discomforts are gently released through the power and love of God by forgiveness. Our senses are then elevated toward goodness, and we move forward with the knowledge that the light is within us. It is a time of commitment to stand firm in our belief and faith, as witnesses of the truth. We are now responsible for that knowledge that was attained upon the ascent toward higher plains. Our role is to share these revelations with others and live as a testimony of His love. 

If we keep reaching higher and higher to the summit of the mountain, God promises the ultimate reward, His Glory for eternity. God is faithful to all of His Promises. (The Wayfarer's Compass, 2010)
