Try Probiotics for a Better Mood!

by Tonja Taylor
1/17/2022 / Health

If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and  ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him.--James 1:5, AMPC

I learned from a noted expert that probiotics can help us not only feel better and have stronger immunity, but be in a better mood!

This is because of the gut-brain connection. I am not a doctor, nor a nutritionist. From what I've learned in self-study through the years, however, what we ingest (eat, drink, take as medicines and vitamins/supplements) definitely affects our health.

We are supposed to have healthy bodies and strong immunity. Part of that defense is the good bacteria that God created to be in our digestive systems (guts). When we ingest things that are damaging to our bodies (antibiotics; processed foods with sugars, starches, preservatives and other chemicals, especially man-made; alcohol; other drinks that are not the best for us), it can really mess up our immunity.

Wrong things put into our bodies (including toxins in the atmosphere from cleaning products full of non-natural, harmful chemicals) can also damage our immunity.

The damage comes from things hurting the good bacteria that is meant to be in our digestions, and putting lots of harmful bacteria into them.

The gut has been called "the second brain."  Wrong things in our digestion can cause a lot of problems in our bodies, and even minds.

So how do we solve this? First, ask the LORD for wisdom. He created your body in your mothers' womb, and sustains it every moment!

Upon You have I leaned and relied from birth; You are He Who took me from my mother's womb and  You have been my benefactor from that day. My praise is continually of You.--Psalm 71:6, AMPC

For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother’s womb.--Psalm 139:13

Being in a better mood is a benefit that can come from several factors. The main reason you need to take probiotics, of course, is to raise your immunity. After all, it's rare that a person is in a good mood when they are ill, or hurting!

Do yourself and your loved ones a favor, and start ingesting some form of probiotics every day. You can take a capsule, or simply eat a tablespoon of an organic food such as yogurt (preferably with no sugar, or very little!), or sauerkraut, or kefir. Another is kim-chi.

You and your loved ones deserve to live the strong, healthy, pleasant life that Jesus died to give you (John 10:10). Ingesting probiotics is a simple way to enjoy more abundant life!

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it a]">[a]overflows).--John 10:10, AMPC
