What is True Treasure? Part V
by Tonja Taylor

Malachi 3:16-18 says, "Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name. 17 They will be mine, says the LORD Almighty, in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him.18 And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.
In Malachi 3:16, the LORD shows us that He listens to us His people, that He treasures our words that honor Him. He has a scroll (book) of remembrance written with our words in it! Hallelujah!
Even more exciting is the fact that, in verse 17, He calls us who honor Him His "treasured possession," and declares He will spare us (from judgment) and display our righteousness in comparison to the wicked, who will be destroyed.
We praise Him for the Covenant of blood through Jesus Christ, which is the only thing that makes us acceptable to Him and righteous in His sight. And, He provided that for us when we were His enemies, so how much more is He pleased with us once we have believed and accepted what He has done through Christ! HALLELUJAH!
Today, I'm sharing a short poem the Master gave me a few days ago, called "My Always Friend, JESUS." If you have asked Him to be your Savior and LORD, to come into your heart and save you and give you eternal life, He will!
And from that moment, He is your Always Friend! He is there for you--always, in all ways....Get quiet and listen to His sweet Voice. Read His Word and understand His thoughts toward you are peace (Shalom, Jeremiah 29:11). He longs and loves to talk with you, and be involved in every detail of your life. As His beloved child, you have His attention--for eternity! He loves and ever lives to help you, and He calls you His treasure, His friend!
Here is my poem/song:
My Always Friend, JESUS
Not all my friends are "always friends,"
But there is One I trust
Who always loves and helps me;
You see, He really must
Because He made a Promise
For eternity to me—
That wherever I am, He will be.
