God Will Help You Make Good Decisions!

by Tonja Taylor
11/10/2021 / Christian Living

10 For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), [a]recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].--Eph 2:10

The LORD has a wonderful Plan that is uniquely crafted for each person! He wants so much for us to know and live this heavenly life, but we must first be born again by receiving Christ Jesus in our hearts, then we must get in His Word (which IS His will!) and see what He says. In addition, there are particular things He has called us to do that no one else ever could do exactly like us.

Hallelujah!

Every true child of God--born anew in his or her spirit, by confessing sin and believing in and receiving Christ Jesus, God's Son, as Savior and LORD--truly wants to please Father God.

We want to walk in God's will, for that is the place where we will be the most effective and influential for His Kingdom; the most free; the most satisfied; the most prosperous in every realm.

The will of God is not elusive, and although many true Believers in Christ Jesus have doubted whether they are in his will or not, there are things you can do that will help you know these things.

There are many Scriptures you can stand on, which means read and memorize and say and meditate (think about over and over), and the Spirit of God Who wrote the Bible will help you understand, receive, and see these things happen in your life, when you trust and persist in Him!

Here are two Scriptures that have greatly helped me to trust in Him, and that He is faithful to guide me when I ask (and even when I haven't! He is a good, faithfal, all-wise, all-knowing Father, Who only wants the best for us, His precious kiddos, and will guide us away from harm--like any good parent would for his or her child!):

Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed. --Proverbs 16:3, AMPC

5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. 6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.--Proverbs 3:5,6, AMPC

And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.--Isaiah 30:21

The will of God is not elusive, and although many true Believers in Christ Jesus have doubted whether they are in his will or not, there are things you can do that will help you know these things.

(1) Trust The Anointing!

What is "The Anointing?" The Anointing is the Spirit of God; the power of the Holy Spirit, which came upon Jesus when He was baptized. Although He was all God, He chose to become a man and live as a man in every way--including being tempted, but, in spite of what some say or portray in movies or books, He never sinned! Hallelujah! Jesus was and is without sin--or He never could have served as the Lamb slain as the Sacrifice to pay for our sins!

For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize  and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and  infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.--Hebrews 4:15, AMPC

(2) Ask the LORD to guide you to Scriptures you can read, memorize, think about, and speak out loud (daily is preferable, and more than once a day is better! As I used to tell my dear daughter when I'd homeschool her, "Repetition is how we learn. Repetition is how we learn. Repetition--" "Mom!" she'd protest.). He will; He just gave you four, in the first part of this writing!

(3) Trust that you are hearing from Him and going His way, because you want to!

Most of our problem in truly knowing and understanding the will of God is trying too hard; doubting that--even though we want the will of God because we love Him and want to bring Him glory and help others know and believe in Him and go to Heaven with us--we actually hear from Him!

"Hearing" from Him does not usually mean we hear Him speaking to us like someone standing next to us. Rather, He speaks through His Word, and in our spirits as a "still, small voice." Sometimes, we must turn off all the noise and get by ourselves (in the car going somewhere is a great place; a "mobile prayer closet"!) to hear from Him.

He is the Prince of Peace, and leads us by peace. We need to pray and seek Him first thing every day, and set our mind on the Word and things above, and give Him our day from the beginning.

Just like we don't want our darling child(ren) to fret and worry and be afraid that we aren't helping them, or that we're really resenting them and mocking them or rolling our eyes or otherwise scorning or making fun of them or whatever nonsense, how much more does Father God Who is Good and all Good want us to rest in Him; to trust that He is and will help us?

Hallelujah!

It is truly His Spirit that even prompts us to desire to want to do His will! We can do and are nothing without Him, Who is our Life (John 10:10)!

Even before we, His righteous heirs (by our faith in the blood of Jesus ONLY!) cry, He answers!

Call to Him today, and ask Him to guide you--and to help you rest in your desire and ability to be led by Him, the Good Shepherd!

Also, please the Blood of Jesus over your mind, and declare that you have the Mind of Christ (I Cor. 2:16)--life and soul peace, righteous, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost! Amen and Amen!
