BLESSINGS IN REVELATIONS

Thought: Why are so many pastors avoiding the blessings in the book of Revelation? Some of the excuses I’ve heard were “it was full of symbolism that is hard to understand.” Other comments were “it’s too negative and depressing and I don’t want to upset the congregation.” What does the Word say about Revelations? Rev. 1:3 “If you read this prophecy aloud to the church, you will receive a special blessing from the Lord. Those who listen to it being read what it says will also be blessed.”
If our spiritual leaders deny this special blessing for God’s children, they will be held responsible for their lack of obedience. We are living in a critical time in history and need to understand the events that are happening right before our eyes. The answers are there for us to read the past, present and future that life holds for us. The Word tells us to:
LISTEN AND OBEY: “and remember it’s a message to obey and not just listen to.”
THE WEDDING SUPPER OF THE LAMB: Rev. 19:7 “Let us be glad and rejoice and honor him; for the time has come for the wedding banquet of the Lamb, and his bride (church) has prepared herself.”
BE READY: Rev. 16:15 “Take note: I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! Blessed are all who are awaiting me, who keep their robes in readiness and will not need to walk naked and ashamed.”
HE’S COMING SOON: Rev. 22:6,7 “Then the Angel said to me, “these Words are trustworthy and true: I am coming soon! God, who tells his prophets what the future holds, has sent his Angel to tell you this will happen soon. Blessed are those who believe it and all else written in the scroll.”
THE REVEALING OF JESUS CHRIST: Eph. 1:17,18 “I have never stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ to give you wisdom to see clearly and really understand who Christ is and all that he has done for you.”
The book of Revelation is the revealing of who Christ is and speaks of how life will end. WE WIN !! Rev. 20:10 Then the Devil who had betrayed them will again be thrown into the Lake of Fire burning with sulphur where the Creature and False Prophet are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”
Prayer: Father God, your book tells us the story of our life from beginning to end. We don’t need to guess how it all ends because it has been revealed to us. Help all your children to be ready with their lamps filled with oil (Holy Spirit) when that trumpet blows and were called out and up to meet you in the air. Amen
Verse: I Thess. 4:16,17 “For the Lord himself will come down from Heaven with a mighty shout and with a soul-stirring cry of the archangel and the great trumpet-call of God. And the believers who are dead will be the first to rise to meet the Lord. Then we who are still alive and remain on earth will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with Him forever. So comfort and encourage each other with this news.”
