Thought: How much do we know about the millennium? The thousand-year reign of King Jesus over the whole world. The Bible, God’s spoken word, has a lot to say about this time period. Believers, who are raptured and given new bodies, will be coming back with Jesus to set up His kingdom on Earth. What will that time be like? Here is a small window into that new world taken from His Word.

Isa. 30:29 “But the people of God will sing a new song…”

Isa. 42:12 “Let the western coastlands glorify the Lord and sing of His mighty power.”

Isa. 9:6,7 “In that glorious day of peace, there will no longer be the issuing of battle gear; no more the blood-stained uniforms of war.”

Isa. 14:7 “But at last the whole earth is at rest and is quiet! All the world begins to sing.”

Isa. 25:8 “At that time he will remove the cloud of gloom, the pall of death that hangs over the earth; he will swallow up death forever. The Lord will wipe away all tears, and take away forever, all insults and mockery against his land and people. The Lord has spoken…he will surely do it!”

Isa. 65:22, 25 “For my people will live as long as trees and will long enjoy their hard-won gains. v.25 The wolf and lamb shall feed together, the lion shall eat straw as the ox does and poisonous snakes shall strike no more. In those days nothing or no one shall be hurt or destroyed in all my Holy Mountain, says the Lord.”

Micah 4:2,3 “For in those days the whole world will be ruled by the Lord from Jerusalem! He will issue his laws and announce his decrees from there. He will arbitrate among the nations and dictate to strong nations far away. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning-hooks, nations shall no longer fight each other, for all war will end. There will be universal peace, and all military academies and training camps will be closed down.”

Ezekiel 34:27 “Their fruit trees and fields will yield bumper crops, and everyone will live in safety.”

Isa. 35:1 “Even the wilderness and desert will rejoice in those days, the desert will blossom with flowers. v.2 Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy!

Note: Christians have HOPE that a better world is awaiting them. It will be a golden age of Christ’s reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and Satan will be locked up for 1,000 years. If you haven’t invited Jesus into your life, do it now. Time is short before that trumpet will blow and believers will rise up to meet Jesus in the air.

Prayer: Father God, what wonderful promises you have given us from your Holy Word. We have an incredible future waiting for us. Amen

Verse: Isa. 11:9 “Nothing will hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, for as the waters fill the sea, so shall the earth be full of the knowledge of the Lord.”
