Do You Know That You Need This?

"Human wants are insatiable" are the words of every Economist and it is indisputable. You want many things whether they are useful for you or not. You want many things that are useful for you but not now, they will be of great use in the future. Why do you want them now? Why should you be "crazy" to get them now? Who told you that you will not get them when the time ripes?

 

On the other hand, you need certain things to keep your life running and doing so smoothly. These are the necessities of life. Do you know what? Economist have wisely identified three necessities of man ; these are named as food, clothing and shelter. Every serious government ensures that every citizen of her country gets these three necessities and at affordable costs.

 

Please, let it be clear to you that every man has these parts in him, the spirit, the mental and the emotional. Do you know what? Each of these part needs to be cared for individually and collectively because they are closely related and connected. The spiritual dictates the emotional and the mental. These three are housed in a body called, the physical.

 

Let me state that each part needs to be fed, talking about the general necessity of man. Emotion has its foods. Am I sure? Yeah! Have you heard this statement before, "if music be the food of love, then play on."? If you have heard it, fine. If you have not, know that it exists. Love is an emotional feeling. You know it exists and it influences other parts of a man's life but you cannot touch it. Yet love feeds on music to stay healthy.

 

Now, let me come to the center of the matter here, the spiritual aspect of man that determines a lot about man. It has to be fed properly also because its influence on man is immeasurable. Like other parts of a man, there are foods with which you can feed on. You must avoid "junks" called foods. It is detrimental to good health. To continue eating junks can lead to malnutrition which can lead to sudden or untimely death.

 

So it is with Spiritual foods!

 

I cannot afford to deceive you, let me tell you that there are junk spiritual foods well packaged to deceive many. This becomes more common in this end time period. That is why you must watch and pray that you do not become a victim of spiritual junks or poisons called foods.

 

Let me also point out here that there are lots of people on the earth today who never care a hook for their own spiritual part. They rely only on feeding their other parts. Many of them are "Successful" in their own assessment and by world's standard but they are first-class failures in the real sense of success. Job was a righteous, perfect and successful man. He has this to say when troubles came calling :
"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
And naked shall I return there
There Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the Lord." Job 1:21. New King James Version (NKJV)

 

Will you agree that Job's words are true of all human beings? You came from somewhere into your mother's womb and you will return there one day. How will you return there? Where will you be when you return home?

 

What is the one thing that you need? Jesus Christ said, in Luke 10:41-42.
"Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.
But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part,
Which will not be taken away from her."
Do you wonder what it is? Verse 39 says about Mary,
"... who also sat at Jesus feet, and heard His word. "

 

In simpler words, your spiritual part needs its best spiritual food, which is the Word of God that is the Holy Bible. You need to read it at least two times daily, in the morning and in the evening or at night to serve you well. It will translate that you begin your daily activities in the presence of your Heavenly father and you resign each day with Him reading or feeding on the Holy Bible will supply you all the spiritual nutrients that you need to live a successful life here and at the end of your pilgrimage here, you will be successful when you return to your Father who will reward you according to your works here. Your rewards are awaiting you, feed well on the Word of God and live according to its instructions.
Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
