WE'LL SOAR LIKE AN EAGLE

Thought: We were Trekky fan's from 1966 to 1969 when Star Trek first became a TV series. I was always amazed when Captain Kirk said "beam me up Scotty" and he was miraculousy transported from one place to another. For born-again Christians that will be a reality sometime soon if events keep falling into prophetic timing according to God's plan.
I was also captivated with stories in the bible of similar transport events that actually happened several thousand years ago way ahead of their time. Enoch, the great grandfather of Noah was one of those that was transported to another dimension. The Bible says "he was in constant touch with God and disappeared for God took him." Phillip, a believer, was instructed by an Angel to go to a road that went through the Gaza dessert around noon. Phillip did as he was told and met a eunuch of great influence heading back home. After Phillip witnessed to him he was baptized and when the eunuch came up out of the water the Spirit of the Lord caught up Phillip and he found himself at a town called Azotus. The eunuch saw him no more.
In another incident the deciples were in a boat headed for Capernaum without Jesus. A storm swept down on them as they were only 3 or 4 miles from shore. They were terrifyed and thought they would all drown. Jesus came walking on the water toward them and told them not to be afraid as he sat down in the boat. All of a sudden they found themselves right in the spot of their destination. Jesus also transported himself into the sky at his ascention, disappearing into the clouds. All believers are going to fly like Eagles in the rapture when God rescues his own from the horrific judgements that are coming upon a defiant, godless world. Paul describes this event in Thessalonians when born again Christians will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air to remain with him forever. What a wonderful hope for those who have placed their faith in the work Jesus accomplished on the cross (salvation) and His spirit within (born again). Maranatha
Prayer: Father God this is the blessed hope of all believers that we will be reunited with our loved ones in that glorious place called Heaven. We will fly like Eagles to be with you forever. Amen
Verse: I Thess. 4:16-18 "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a mighty shout and with the soul-stirring cry of the archangel and the great trumpet-call of God. And the believers who are dead will be the first to rise to meet the Lord. Then we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. So comfort and encourage each other with this news."
