God Abundantly Blesses Generous Couple

Richard and his wife, Roxanne, were blessed in every area of their lives.
Both Richard and Roxanne had been blessed with high-paying jobs. Richard worked as a supervisor in a large manufacturing plant, while Roxanne was an executive secretary for the president of the local bank.
They managed their money wisely, paying their bills in a timely fashion and saving some money each week. Since they realized God was the source of all their blessings, they tithed on their gross income, giving a minimum of 10 percent of their income to the church they attended.
“God owns all of it anyway,” said Richard. “He just gives us the opportunity to give to Him first, so He can bless us with the wisdom to know how to use the remaining 90 percent.”
Roxanne agreed with her husband’s assessment of finances, and she had uncovered some proof about the extent of God’s blessings. She continually reviewed their financial records, and she was amazed at God’s faithfulness.
“I was looking at our bank statements for the past 10 years,” Roxanne told Richard. “You’ll never believe what I I discovered.
“What did you find?”
Roxanne replied, “Over the past 10 years, we’ve tithed about 75 thousand dollars to the church, and we’ve given about 25,000 dollars on top of that. God has blessed us with an extra 100,000 in additional miscellaneous income over that period.”
For a moment, Richard bowed his head and silently worshipped the Sovereign Lord. “Thank you, heavenly father for richly blessing our lives in so many ways,” he said. “Please help us to always praise your name with the way we handle our money.”
Luke 6:38 was one of Richard’s favorite verses. “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
Robert, an assistant supervisor at the plant, was Richard’s best friend. “God has blessed us in so many ways,” Richard told Robert. “Since Roxanne and I began tithing a decade ago, God has blessed us every day and in every way.”
“I know what you’re talking about,” Robert said. “My wife, Regina, and I began tithing about five years ago, and we have come to realize one major truth.”
“What truth, Robert?”
Robert’s eyes lit up, and a huge grin spread across his face. “I don’t care how hard you try or how hard you give, you will never be able to out-give God,” he beamed.
“You are so right!” Richard grinned. “You are so right!”
