LOVE IS KIND

Love is Kind. Kindness speaks of the ability to be polite; it means the ability to be gracious.

 

True love is always polite, its kind in speech always. The bible recorded that the brothers of Joseph could not speak peaceably with him. This shows the absence of love. True love is strong enough to communicate peaceably. Some people see communicating peaceably as a weakness but it is actually a strength. Some do not even want to learn to speak peaceably because it makes others see them as weak and depending totally on the relationship. They therefore chose to act and speak like they are not depending on the relationship. They do not want to be vulnerable to their love ones

My friend, love communicates. Where there is true communication, the parties involved are exposed or rather become vulnerable to each other. ONE OF THE TEST OF TRUE LOVE IS TO CHECK HOW VULNERABLE YOU ARE TO THE PERSON YOU LOVE. The more vulnerable you are to the person the more love you have for the person and the less vulnerable you are to the person the less love you have for the person. SHOW ME SOME ONE YOU CAN TELL ANY THING AND I WILL SHOW YOU SOMEONE YOU LOVE.

 My friend, if I love you so much to tell you all my secrets and weaknesses, it becomes your responsibility to love me back and protect me. This is what it means to be kind in love. Some people can be so kind to people they respect but do not know their secrets but rude, abusive to people that love them enough to expose their secrets to them.

Kindness makes you respect your love ones even when you have known all his/ her secrets. All true love is rooted in respect. The question becomes can you still respect him/her when you know his/her secrets and weakness. If he/she cannot respect you today, it may be worse tomorrow.

 

It’s a big mistake to hide your weaknesses and mistakes just to win the love of someone. This has resulted in many love tragedy and you will not want to be the next. True love makes you vulnerable and it is not secretive.

 

Another quality of kindness is generosity. True love is kind enough to be generous. Generosity speaks of the ability to give. This kind of giving may be painful but it’s happy in the satisfaction of the receiver.  It is like saying happy in Sacrifice. Sacrifice will not bring joy until the result starts to show but this sacrifise is happy because of the joy it produce in the receiver. This is love –happy in the joy of the one you love even if the joy cause you pain. This is why when you love; you become generous to your love even with your life.

 

Where there is love, there is that kindness that is strong enough to be generous even with life (John 3:16)
