Talkative
by Carl Marshall
9/18/2016 / Christian Apologetics
An unwise person who speaks lots, usually, speaks for attention. They are crowd pleasers and to some degree are easily deceived.
One who is inclined to lead must refrain from being talkative, rather, communicate with information that is of substance. Information extracted from the Old and New Testament are not extracted to please crowds; in fact, it does just the opposite, it open the eyes of the believer if it is of substance. Our eyes are the light of our bodies and if the truth is known then the entire body becomes a light of the world (Matthew 6:22.) That is we engage the world to know the truth thereby defending the Word of God.
The sole purpose of a disciple of Jesus is to fulfil the law as was done by The Son of God. However, unlike Emmanuel, we must "Study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman that is not ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth" (2 Timothy 2:15.) Only then will we know the law to obey it. Observe the fact that the Testament of God is not written only in black and white; engaging the believer to communicate with God does not require one who is talkative, rather, one who has faith in the Son of God. Faith does come from hearing the Word of God; our word taken from within the Testament of God must also serve the purpose to increase the faith of a believer.
Perceive then one who preaches and/or teaches the Word of God, must have the qualities of Emmanuel: Compassion, humility, wisdom and faith, not for attention as that of a talkative individual but as one determine to communicate the message, from the Word of God to the believers who are lost in the Word of God. Reason for communicating the message is to open the hearts of Christ Jesus believers. Such a communication is not possible with one who is talkative, because one who is talkative inclines more to argue rather than communicate.
