THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD-DR.DAVID EDWARD OWOUR

Glory to JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD for giving us an opportunity to share HIS WORD considering that time is over and THE COMING OF THE MESSIAH is right at hand, as we see biblical prophecies fulfilled right in our midst.

I write, by God's grace, to edify and show that a MESSENGER from GOD was promised in the bible, He who prepares the way of the LORD before the LORD comes for THE HOLY ELECT CHURCH to take THE HOLY CHURCH in heaven.

I pray THE PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT to open our ears and eyes so that we may not miss out on who this MESSENGER is. The truth is, THIS MESSENGER walks among us as I write this article, and He is none other than THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD, PROPHET DR.DAVID EDWARD OWOUR. As God helps me I will prove this, not by might or by power, but by THE HOLY SPIRIT, as I pray that this teaching will be a blessing to you and to me as well. Amen.
Please be patient and read on, there is a mystery here!
INTRODUCTION
"Behold, I send My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me.
And the Lord [the Messiah], Whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; the Messenger or Angel of the covenant, Whom you desire, behold, He shall come, says the Lord of hosts."(Malachi 3:1-2)

This is a prophecy that blue prints in clear terms the coming of the MESSENGER of God. We see THE LORD OF HOSTS HIMSELF, by the Mouth of PROPHET MALACHI promising that HE(God) will send a MESSENGER to prepare the way for the MESSIAH. We read that as this emissary from GOD comes, then the LORD will come to His temple (Christians are God's temple) suddenly.

Points to note:

1. The word, "BEHOLD" means we are to be spiritually awake and see the revelation of this MESSENGER that GOD is promising to send. God is instructing us to be alert and HE is directing our attention to THIS MESSENGER for a specific purpose. We are NOT expected to be ignorant or to be unaware of THIS as God's people.
2. The Messenger is sent by God. GOD HIMSELF says, "Behold, I sent My Messenger".
3. The Messenger will accomplish His mission and vision of preparing the way of THE LORD. GOD HIMSELF says," He shall prepare the way before me", this means nothing will stop THE MESSENGER from accomplishing His Mission, be it men or anything else.
4. As the MESSENGER prepares the way of THE LORD, Then THE LORD will come suddenly for the church (HIS TEMPLE) ."and he shall prepare the way before me. And the LORD (the Messiah) , whom you seek , will suddenly come to HIS TEMPLE" .
Remember we are GOD'S TEMPLE (1 Corinthians 3:16).

I wonder whether humanity knows what it is like to have a Messenger sent by GOD HIMSELF. JEHOVAH, THE ALMIGHTY , THE CREATOR , THE ALL POWERFUL GOD who is enthroned on high to send a Messenger to people, that means God has a message to the people and HE makes a move of HIS unconditional love to this people.

The Messenger is sent by GOD, that means the Message is from God and belongs to GOD, even The Messenger belongs to GOD. Based on the office of GOD, THE ONE who sends The Messenger, one would expect humanity to honor the office of GOD in heaven, the THRONE OF GOD, and hear what This Messenger has been told from God's throne room in heaven and obey the Message.

THE MESSENGER IS A PROPHET

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes. And he shall turn and reconcile the hearts of the [estranged] fathers to the [ungodly] children, and the hearts of the [rebellious] children to [the piety of] their fathers [a reconciliation produced by repentance of the ungodly], lest I come and smite the land with a curse and a ban of utter destruction" (Malachi 4:5)

The bible clearly announces that this Messenger is A PROPHET OF GOD. This means that prior to THE LORD's return; this Prophet will come and proclaim repentance so that an everlasting curse from GOD may not visit the land.
Prophet Dr. David Edward Owour came preaching repentance, and Yes, THE LORD HIMSELF called and sent him to prepare the way of THE LORD. The fact that THE LORD HIMSELF called his name twice on Mt. Carmel in Israel spiritually speaks of his coming in The Spirit Of Elijah since we know that this Mt. Carmel was where Elijah, THE PROPHET OF GOD called fire from God to consume the sacrifice he offered in the sight of the Baal prophets (1 Kings 18:1-46) .THE LORD GOD, calling his name twice on Mt. Carmel in Israel proves the classical benchmark GOD uses to call His servants., HIS PROPHETS. Examples in The Holy Bible include:

"And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the midst of the bush and said, Moses, Moses! And he said, Here am I." (Exodus 3:4) (AMP)

Then the LORD called, "Samuel! Samuel!" and he said, "Here I am!" (1 Samwel 3:4) (RSV)

We see THE LORD calling names of HIS SERVANTS twice during THE CALL, and they answer "Here I am" as a classical answer that they have submitted to GOD'S CALL. This happened to THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD during THE CALL on Mt. Carmel in Israel (please visit www.repentandpreparetheway.org ) and read the oracles of GOD for more details on this.

He comes in "The Spirit and Power Of Elijah"

And he will [himself] go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn back the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient and Incredulous and unpersuadable to the wisdom of the upright [which is the Knowledge and holy love of the will of God]--in order to make ready for the Lord a people [perfectly] prepared [in spirit, adjusted and disposed and placed in the right moral state]. (Luke 1:17)(AMP)

The Holy Bible speaks of THE PROPHET coming in the "spirit and power of Elijah"
This means:

1. He rebukes sin severely:
Elijah in the Old Testament rebuked sin until Ahab the sinful King called Him the troubler of Israel.

When Ahab saw Eli?jah, Ahab said to him, "Is it you, you troubler of Israel?" (1 Kings 18:17)(RSV)
Hasn't the church and the nations of the earth been guilty of blackmailing and calling THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD names just as the way the wicked king Ahab did? Hasn't THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD relentlessly rebuked sin all over the earth? Even the media has been in this sin. It is time to REPENT.

POWER TO COMMAND HEAVEN TO OPEN OR TO SHUT

ELIJAH THE Tishbite, of the temporary residents of Gilead, said to
Ahab, As the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, before Whom I stand, there shall not be dew or rain these years but according to My word.(1 Kings 17:1)

We have seen this happen in Kenya, JEHOVAH GOD has made THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD command heaven to open and release rain severally here in Kenya, we saw it happen in Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega in Kenya, it happened in Gusii Stadium in Kisii, Kenya, it happen in a small town called Njoro in Kenya and many people were delivered and healed, cripples walked, deaf ears heard among many other miracles of JEHOVAH GOD. There is more than what meets the eye in this End Time Events. "In the detail" we see the LORD trumpeting to us that HE has given HIS SERVANT a lot of AUTHORITY that is uncomparable and undisputed. To be more open on this, it is accurate to say THE AUTHORITY OF CHRIST is VERY GREAT since we read in another place that " all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to CHRIST JESUS" , we note that THE HOLY SPIRIT OF CHRIST JESUS enables HIS SERVANT to do this exploits FOR THE GLORY OF GOD.
When PROPHET ELIJAH prayed that it may not rain for three and half years it happened just like that at "His Word" .

No other Servant or prophet was able to ask God to make rain to fall before the three and half years of Elijah spoken WORD were over, this proves that Elijah's WORD of prayer was honoured by GOD THE FATHER as THE SPIRIT in Him enabled Him to pray according to God's will and purpose at that time, and that for sure Elijah was A MIGHTY PROPHET OF GOD during that time. To you who call yourself a prophet, don't you know that THE LORD has raised A MIGHTY PROPHET in our midst and WHAT HE SAYS in WHAT GOD WILL DO?

And again, In Malachi 3:1, THE LORD said HE will send HIS MESSENGER. This means by THE LORD saying BEHOLD, I SEND MY MESSENGER in Malachi 3:1, it means all Servants of God and all people should behold and hear what THIS MESSENGER has to say as He is THE MOUTH OF GOD ALMIGHTY on earth, for those who urge and quarrel over scriptures, how can you claim to be a Berean and miss out on this? Remember when the LORD raised Elijah, HIS PROPHET , it was during a time of apostasy and idol worship in Israel with Ahab , the wicked king in power during that time. Look at the apostasy in the church (Christians) and tell me, didn't it seem fit in THE LORD'S eyes to send HIS MESSENGER to call all people to repent in Christ Jesus lest HE strikes the land with a curse according to Malachi 4:5?

Do not quench (suppress or subdue) the [Holy] Spirit; Do not spurn the gifts and utterances of the prophets [do not depreciate prophetic revelations nor despise inspired instruction or exhortation or warning](1 Thessalonians 5:20) (AMP)

Some can quickly use Ephesians 4:11 to call themselves prophets, look at what Ephesians 4:11 says;

And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers, His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ's body (the church),
[That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [ full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.

A TRUE PROPHET of GOD stands in THE COUNCIL OF GOD IN HEAVEN .We should ask ourselves, why did God direct us to THE PROPHET who comes in THE Spirit of Elijah by "Behold' I sent My Messenger" even when Ephesians 4:11 stands?

The bible, and only the bible answers this;
If THE MESSENGER doesn't come it appears A CURSE from GOD visits the land.

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes. We see a curse is to visit the land unless THE MESSENGER is sent"lest I come and smite the land with a curse and a ban of utter destruction" why does a curse and a ban of utter destruction appear to come when we have Servants in Ephesians 4:11? Who is this SERVANT whom GOD HIMSELF declares that only He can make GOD not pronounce a curse on the land? It then becomes very clear that the priesthood was going to have a spiritual problem IN GOD'S SIGHT and hence need for a Message of repentance for its restoration.

When GOD sent John The Baptist full of the same Spirit and Power of Elijah, the priesthood had fallen though they claimed not to be blind. The Pharisees , scribes among other teaches of the Law had fallen that's why The Spirit and Power of Elijah rebuked them and called them to repent and bear fruit worth repentance.

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee and escape from the wrath and indignation [of God against disobedience] that is coming? Bring forth fruit that is consistent with repentance [let your lives prove your change of heart]; And do not presume to say to yourselves, We have Abraham for our forefather; for I tell you, God is able to raise up descendants for Abraham from these stones!( Matthew 3:7-9)(AMP)

Jesus said the people were to listen to the Pharisees since he knew they were the ones given the mandate to teach the Torah under the Law of Moses, but their actions weren't according to the Law so they were told not to do their actions, but they are to listen carefully to their teachings..

Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:

"The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.(Matthew 23:1-4)(NIV)

We see the Pharisees were hypocritical in that they did not practice what they taught, but again for the wise (symbolized by Jesus disciples) they chose to follow JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF instead of following pharisees and other teachers of The Law as at one point Jesus told them to be aware of the teachings (leaven) of the Pharisees as THE LORD asked
"How can a blind lead another blind?", and HE said again,

"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. (Matthew 23:15) (NIV)

Then we learn that as John The Baptist was rebuking the priesthood in Matthew 3:7 , the message to go home with is that the priesthood had fallen and GOD sent John The Baptist to tell them to repent . Remember those who refused to repent even if they were priests they didn't recognize JESUS CHRIST. A fallen priesthood can't lead anyone to heaven as Matthew 23:15 says it all.
So, we come to a conclusion that the "priests" in Ephesians 4:11 were prophesied to "fall asleep" but God had a plan to restore them . The priest slept "spiritually" according to this scriptures :

The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. "At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'(Matthew 25:5-6) (NIV)

All the wise and foolish virgins became drowsy and slept! But we see a cry rang at midnight announcing THE COMING OF THE BRIDEGROOM. This means the one "Crying" had seen The Bridegroom in advance(Amos 3:5) and that is why He was able to announce The coming of THE BRIDEGROOM whom he had already seen to all the ten virgins by saying 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him'.
The only way they become drowsy and slept is associated by the darkeness or sin at midnight. This sleeping is elaborated here :

"But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away." (Matthew 13:25)(NIV)

Based on biblical outline, Someone had to come and "awake" the sleeping virgins. Having said that, the voice that rang out at midnight was an eye opener pointing to the MESSIAH WHO WAS COMING. This 'voice' is the same Spirit of Elijah that enabled John The Baptist point people to CHRIST JESUS by saying

"Behold, the lamb of GOD who takes away the sin of the world' (John 1:29) and again, THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD has come in the same Spirit of Elijah saying without changing the message that, THE MESSIAH IS COMING, REPENT AND PREPARE THE WAY. In simple words, He is saying, "'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him'.

He comes IN THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him. (Matthew 21:32)(KJV)

For John the Baptist came and showed you the right way to live, but you didn't believe him, while tax collectors and prostitutes did. And even when you saw this happening, you refused to believe him and repent of your sins.(Matthew 21:23) (NLT)

Everything John The Baptist said shows them was the right way to live. When THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD rebukes sin including sexual immorality, the gospel of prosperity, false prophets, false teachers, false pastors, false apostles, false evangelists, immoral dressing including mini-skirts and tight trousers by women ,corruption, prostitution, abortions, homosexuality, hypocrisy, false doctrines, lesbianism and modernity and all sins, remember the JESUS CHRIST says He is in the way of righteousness and He is showing us the right way to live, all we have to do is believe him and to do according to the instructions of THE PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT through him at this hour and repent our sins instead playing games with the message.

He makes a people prepared for THE LORD

And he will [himself] go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn back the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient and Incredulous and unpersuadable to the wisdom of the upright [which is the Knowledge and holy love of the will of God]--in order to make ready for the Lord a people [perfectly] prepared [in spirit, adjusted and disposed and placed in the right moral state].

The mission of THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD is to announce the coming of the MESSIAH and therein point people to the HOLY SPIRIT WHO prepares us for rapture. This clearly tells me that for those who will embrace THIS MESSENGER and listen and put into practice THE HOLY SPIRIT instructions of this midnight hour, they will be prepared for THE LORD.

But Samuel replied:
"Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD?
To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams (1 Samuel 15:22)
And Samuel said,
"Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.(1 Samuel 15:22) (RSV)

By preaching repentance and holiness He prepares the way of THE LORD because the Kingdom of God is very nigh.

In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near."(Matthew 3:1)

Repentance is a message JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF preached during HIS entire mission here on earth

From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near."(Matthew 4:17)

The eyes of a true Christian can't fail to see that repentance is a must if we are to enter the Kingdom of God. Isn't the MAN OF GOD preaching this same message of repentance so that we may enter? What love and blessing from GOD we see here!

A VOICE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS

A voice of one calling: "In the wilderness prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. (Isaiah 40:3-4)(NIV)

A voice cries: "In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD, Make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low;
the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. (Isaiah 40:3-4)(RSV)

THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD preaches that we should repentance and turn away from sin . The wilderness where John The Baptist preached can also be called the wilderness of repentance as we come to know of this wilderness in the bible based on the repentance message John The Baptist preached there. There is a call for all people to return to THE LORD by repentance ONLY through CHRIST JESUS.

In Isaiah 40:4, as the voice cries, these are the words in the cry.

''Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low, the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain"

The word EVERY means as the voice cries, it establishes that THE GOSPEL OF THE BLOOD AND THE CROSS OF OUR LORD CHRIST JESUS is the only message that prepares ours souls for salvation and every person is expected to submit to CHRIST JESUS and repent his/her sins
.

Valleys lifted up symbolizes God raising those who will submit to HIS CALL of repentance

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that in due time he may exalt you. 7 Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you.(1 Peter 5:6-76)(RSV)

Every mountain and hill made low symbolize God opposing every sin including pride, the opposite of humility,

But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble."(James 4:6)(NIV)

1saiah 40:4 may also give us a glimpse enough to say, valleys may symbolize areas of righteousness missing due to "subtractions" from THE WORD and mountains and hills means unnecessary additions to THE WORD as it is written:

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.(Revelation 22:18-19)(KJV)

The voice of one crying in the wilderness shows FULL OBEDIENCE to GOD'S WORD should be embraced by the church (Christians)

GOD NOW COMMANDS ALL PEOPLE EVERYWHERE TO REPENT

The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all men everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given assurance to all men by raising him from the dead."(Acts 17:30-31)(RSV)
GOD has raised CHRIST JESUS from the dead, and because one day CHRIST will judge all men based on what they did while in body, it is wise to repent as Acts 17:30-31 states, because only repentance IN CHRIST JESUS and a complete turning away from sin (bearing fruits worth repentance) can qualify the church for heaven.

"that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish".(Ephesians 5:27)(RSV)

THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD has seen and spoken with John The Baptist. He has seen Moses, THE MAN OF GOD, Daniel-THE TERRIBLE PROPHET OF JEHOVAH, Elijah-THE PROPHET OF YAHWEH and above all , THE LORD GOD HIMSELF speaks to Him and He has seen and still He is announcing THE GLORIOUS COMING OF THE MESSIAH TO TAKE a holy, elect, glorious Church! What a fearful time the Church has entered into?

Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. The lion has roared who will not fear? The Sovereign Lord has spoken who can but prophesy?
(Amos 3:7-8)(RSV)

JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF REVEALS THE IDENTITY OF HIS MESSENGER
An answer to the question of who THE MIGHTY PROPHET IS makes one to ask THE PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT for wisdom of the heart and divine discernment. Having said that, The Holy Bible is still our reference unraveling this spiritual wisdom,

They asked him, What then? Are you Elijah? And he said, I am not! Are you the Prophet? And he answered, No!
Then they said to him, Who are you? Tell us, so that we may give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself? He said, I am the voice of one crying aloud in the wilderness [the voice of one shouting in the desert], Prepare the way of the Lord [level, straighten out, the path of the Lord], as the prophet Isaiah said. (John 1:21-23)(AMP)

We observe that the people didn't even recognize the true identity of John The Baptist. John The Baptist said that he was NOT ELIJAH or the other prophet the people thought He was.
John The Baptist said He was not Elijah, but listen to what JESUS CHRIST says:

Then as these men went their way, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John: What did you go out in the wilderness (desert) to see? A reed swayed by the wind? What did you go out to see then? A man clothed in soft garments? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in the houses of kings.But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and one [out of the common, more eminent, more remarkable, and] superior to a prophet.
This is the one of whom it is written, Behold, I send My messenger ahead of You, who shall make ready Your way before You. Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prizea share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion].
For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied up until John.
And if you are willing to receive and accept it, John himself is Elijah who was to come [before the kingdom].
He who has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him consider and perceive and comprehend by hearing. (Matthew 11:7-15)(AMP)

We see from John 1:21-23 John The Baptist denying that He was NOT Christ or The Prophet they thought He was. He said He was not Elijah! But in Matthew 11:7-15 , CHRIST JESUS says John The Baptist was Elijah.

IN THE DETAIL

By THE LORD JESUS saying John The Baptist was Elijah, HE DID NOT MEAN John The Baptist was Elijah who was taken up in heaven in 2 Kings 2:11, All HE meant is that John The Baptist had come "in the Spirit and power of Elijah" (Luke 1:17) and this means that The same Spirit of God that empowered Elijah THE PROPHET OF GOD to preach repentance and rebuke sin is THE SAME SPIRIT that anointed John The Baptist.
In brief, John The Baptist said the truth by saying He was not Elijah because people during his time thought He was Elijah who was taken in heaven and they thought Elijah had come down the same way He went to heaven but under a new name of John The Baptist(They thought John was Elijah and they thought John was not born but they thought He was Elijah descended from heaven physically the same way He had gone up in a chariot of fire) . The truth however is that John The Baptist was born of physical parents Zechariah and Elizabeth and we know from scriptures that John The Baptist had "The Spirit and Power Of Elijah" but He was not The same Elijah who lived in times of the wicked King Ahab of Israel.

But the angel said to him, Do not be afraid, Zachariah, because your petition was heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you must call his name John [God is favorable]. And you shall have joy and exultant delight, and many will rejoice over his birth,
For he will be great and distinguished in the sight of the Lord. And he must drink no wine nor strong drink, and he will be filled with and controlled by the Holy Spirit even in and from his mother's womb.And he will turn back and cause to return many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God,
And he will [himself] go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn back the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient and incredulous and unpersuadable to the wisdom of the upright [which is the knowledge and holy love of the will of God]in order to make ready for the Lord a people [perfectly] prepared [in spirit, adjusted and disposed and placed in the right moral state].(Luke 1:13-17)(AMP)

It is accurate to say that in Matthew 11:14, THE LORD JESUS meant that the Vision and Mission of John The Baptist was similar to that of Elijah (to preach repentance and holiness) and to restore The Altar of JEHOVAH ADONAI. HE meant that ONLY those whose spiritual ears had been opened by JEHOVAH GOD understood what HE was saying that's why we read that THE LORD JESUS said

He who has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him consider and perceive and comprehend by hearing (Matthew 11:15).

We conclude that John The Baptist had come in "the Spirit and Power of Elijah" but He was not the physical Elijah who lived during the times of Ahab and was taken to heaven in a chariot of fire. THE LORD JESUS in Matthew 11:7-15 confirmed that surely John The Baptist had come in "the Spirit and Power of Elijah" and HE goes on to say that the words He spoke were Spirit and life.

It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life. (John 6:63)

For us to understand this, only THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD helps us to understand the words of the LORD which are Spirit and life.
Let's navigate a notch higher on this topic:

THE TRUE IDENTITY OF ELIJAH, ELISHA, JOHN THE BAPTIST AND THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD, DR.DAVID EDWARD OWOUR.

The question that rings in one's mind is this: Is ELIJAH, ELISHA, JOHN THE BAPTIST AND THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD, DR.DAVID EDWARD OWOUR one and the same person or they are different persons? To solve this question, only THE HOLY BIBLE by the help of THE PRECIOUS SPIRIT OF GOD gives the true answer. Glory to our LORD JESUS CHRIST!
The Jews during the times of John The Baptist and even prior to the birth of John The Baptist believed that just like Elijah was taken up in a chariot of fire, so was Elijah again going to come back in a chariot of fire, physically and they expected to see Him descend on a chariot of fire from heaven. What a sight to behold!

As they still went on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire parted the two of them, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.(2 Kings 2:11) (AMP)

This is why they rejected JESUS CHRIST, as they knew that until they saw Elijah descend in a chariot of fire from heaven, anyone who would come claiming to be THE MESSIAH (THE CHRIST) before the fulfillment of their expectations was viewed as an impostor as they knew Elijah was to come first before THE MESSIAH comes. This is proved by questions of the disciples of CHRIST who were familiar with the teachings of Scribes.

The disciples asked Him, Then why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first? (Matthew 17:10)(AMP)

The response of OUR LORD JESUS to this question tells us all the truth.

He replied, Elijah does come and will get everything restored and ready. But I tell you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know or recognize him, but did to him as they liked. So also the Son of Man is going to be treated and suffer at their hands. Then the disciples understood that He spoke to them about John the Baptist.(Matthew 17:11-13)(AMP)

We see very clearly that Elijah had already come but the people didn't know Him. As we have already discussed earlier, by THE LORD JESUS saying John The Baptist was Elijah, HE did not mean John The Baptist was Elijah who was taken to heaven without seeing physical death(2 Kings 2:11) , the message was that John The Baptist had come in The Spirit and Power Of Elijah (Luke 1:17)

No reincarnation or transmigration
A quick summary can be achieved by stating that Elijah did not reincarnate to become John The Baptist. John The Baptist was a different person , living at a different time, having a different physical body compared to Elijah and He also had a different name;

But the angel said to him, Do not be afraid, Zachariah, because your petition was heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you must call his name John [God is favorable](Luke 1:13)(AMP)

When THE LORD JESUS, during the transfiguration took the three disciples of HIS to a high mountain to pray, the disciples recognized Moses and Elijah. The Bible doesn't say that they recognized John The Baptist. This means that John The Baptist and Elijah are two different persons. What was same (common) about them is The Spirit and Power of God that enabled them preach repentance, holiness, righteousness (fiery preaching full of GOD's power)

And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain apart. And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his garments became white as light. And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Eli?jah, talking with him. 4 And Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, it is well that we are here; if you wish, I will make three booths here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Eli?jah."-not knowing what he said.(Matthew 17:1-4)(RSV)

The bible says Moses and Elijah appeared to our LORD JESUS CHRIST during THE TRANSFIGURATION, it doesn't say Moses and John The Baptist. Peter, the blessed disciple of CHRIST saw Moses and Elijah and not Moses and John The Baptist.

Without any doubt, we see that Elijah and John The Baptist are different people but they operated under the same Anointing of God.

All true prophets of God will be in heaven

There will be weeping and grinding of teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves being cast forth (banished, driven away).(Luke 13:28)

All Prophets of GOD will be in heaven, Abraham will be there, Moses will be there, Elijah will be there, John the Baptist will be there, THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF GOD, Dr. David Edward Owour will be there, ..All true prophets YAHWEH SENT will be there. The fact that Elijah, John The Baptist, Elisha, Dr.David Edward Owour will be in heaven as different persons prove they are NOT one person but there is a similarity in their message. CHRIST JESUS in Luke 13:28 meant that the disobedient and unbelieving people (including those who didn't obey the Prophets HE sent to them) are the ones that will not enter heaven.

Another Scripture that towers high and proves that THE SPIRIT AND POWER OF ELIJAH is THE SAME but the Messengers are different is here:

When the sons of the prophets who were [watching] at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha. And they came to meet him and bowed themselves to the ground before him. (2 Kings 2:15Kings)(AMP)

The scripture here points out that it is all about THE SPIRIT as we know Elijah was transformed(for one must put on immortality so as to qualify for heaven as seen in 1 Corinthians 15) and went to heaven without tasting death and that Elisha remained and died and is waiting for the resurrection, so if Elisha remained, Elijah and Elisha are not the same person though the Spirit Who operated in them was THE SAME as we see the Sons of the Prophets say "The Spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha"
THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD , Dr. David Edward Owour has come in the " Spirit and Power of Elijah" , do you know Him? THE LORD JESUS when speaking of John The Baptist said Elijah had come but the people of those days didn't know Him.

Knowing a Prophet of GOD is very important as you will not do to him as "you like" and fall into judgment from GOD.

Even though Elijah and John The Baptist wore almost the same raiment, 1 Kings 1:8/ Mark 1:2-4, Elisha didn't dress like that but Elisha also had the "Spirit and Power of Elijah as we see in 2 Kings 2:15, so dressing has a message but the "Spirit and Power" is of at most importance .
One may be waiting to see THE MAN OF GOD dressed like John The Baptist so as to know He has "The Spirit and Power of Elijah" , how foolish can that be? Listen carefully to the instruction of THE HOLY SPIRIT,
Be honest in your judgment and do not decide at a glance (superficially and by appearances); but judge fairly and righteously. (John 7:24) (AMP).

Remember Elisha didn't dress like Elijah but Elisha had "The Spirit and Power of Elijah" (2 Kings 2:15)

THE HIGHWAY OF HOLINESS
And a highway shall be there, and a way; and it shall be called the Holy Way.
The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for the redeemed; the wayfaring men, yes, the simple ones and fools, shall not err in it and lose their way. No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it; they shall not be found there. But the redeemed shall walk on it. (Isaiah 35:8-9)(AMP)

A voice of one crying in the wilderness is a MESSENGER GOD ALMIGHTY uses to establish this HIGHWAY OF HOLINESS. The Highway is a MESSAGE OF REPENTANCE AND RETURNING TO THE GOSPEL OF THE BLOOD AND THE CROSS OF CHRIST JESUS.

"and a highway shall be there.." This speaks of a highway in the later times. A message to go home with is that when this Highway of Holiness is established, no unclean shall pass over it, no lion shall be there to devour the sheep. For an insightful reader, listen to this:

But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap; He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and He will purify the priests, the sons of Levi, and refine them like gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord offerings in righteousness.(Malachi 3:2-3)(AMP)

The scripture speaks of CHRIST JESUS, THE MESSENGER OF THE NEW COVENANT purifying Christians so as they may worship THE HEAVENLY FATHER, JEHOVAH is spirit and in truth. All this is done by THE HOLY SPIRIT who empowers THE ONE WHO PREPARES THE LORD's WAY with the "Spirit and Power of Elijah". Remember, THE HOLY SPIRIT also is THE ONE who prepares THE CHURCH for rapture as it is written in another place that he who doesn't have the HOLY SPIRIT doesn't belong to CHRIST.

This MESSENGER is also the MESSENGER OF THE LATER RAIN as prophesied in Haggai 2:6-9 and in Joel 2:28.

This is a warning to the rebellious priesthood who focus much on theology and denying the power of THE HOLY SPIRIT, even the authority of THE MESSENGER sent by JEHOVAH GOD.

BUT UNDERSTAND this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear]. For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane. [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good. [They will be] treacherous [betrayers],rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God. For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].(2 Timothy 3:1-5)(AMP)

One must walk on the Highway of Holiness ( in the footsteps of CHRIST) to the end to as to enter heaven as THE LORD JESUS is the ONLY WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE AND NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT BY HIM(JESUS CHRIST)(John 14:6).

THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF GOD preaches that only a holy church will enter heaven, and yes, it is absolute true as it is written in another place that nothing defiled or filthy will enter heaven and the scriptures that support this strongly are here!

But nothing that defiles or profanes or is unwashed shall ever enter it, nor anyone who commits abominations (unclean, detestable, morally repugnant things) or practices falsehood, but only those whose names are recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life.(Revelation 21:27)(AMP)

Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.(Hebrews 12:14)(AMP)

[Live] as children of obedience [to God]; do not conform yourselves to the evil desires [that governed you] in your former ignorance [when you did not know the requirements of the Gospel]. But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living.

Remember THE LORD JESUS is THE ONE who gives The Spirit and Power of Elijah, so disobeying THE MESSENGER means disobeying CHRIST JESUS.

Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not [practice] what I tell you? (Luke 6:46)(AMP)

For those who doubt THE MAN OF GOD, This is what the Holy Spirit says

And they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God and you shall be established; believe and remain steadfast to His prophets and you shall prosper. (1 Chronicles 20:20)(AMP)

WHY PROPHET DAVID EDWARD OWOUR IS CALLED 'THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD'

We call the bible holy, infact on top of the bible it is written "HOLY BIBLE" , this doesn't mean we worship the bible but we worship GOD who inspired HIS Servants to write the scriptures by the inspiration of THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Unraveling THE TITLE of THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD

"I baptize you with water for repentance but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry, He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire"(Matthew 3:11)(RSV)

These are the words of John The Baptist as he spoke of JESUS . He didn't deny that he was mighty, all he said is that THE ONE who was coming after him was mightier than him. He had to be mighty for him to say JESUS was to be MIGHTIER than him.

The Prophets of GOD are humble as in the case of Moses(Numbers 12:1-2) This humility is also evidenced by John The Baptist saying he is not worthy to carry CHRIST's sandals , but this doesn't mean John The Baptist isn't mighty, he is Mighty through CHRIST who strengthens him. He had to be mighty for CHRIST to be MIGHTIER!

I am a stranger and a sojourner with you; give me property for a burial place among you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight. And the Hittites replied to Abraham, Listen to us, my lord; you are a mighty prince among us. Bury your dead in any tomb or grave of ours that you choose; none of us will withhold from you his tomb or hinder you from burying your dead. (Genesis 23:4-6)(AMP)

We see the Hittites calling Abraham a MIGHTY PRINCE, to prove that Abraham was not only a prince but a PROPHET OF GOD, A MIGHTY PROPHET, lets read the bible who GOD says Abraham is:

Then God said to him in the dream, Yes, I know you did this in the integrity of your heart, for it was I Who kept you back and spared you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not give you occasion to touch her.
So now restore to the man his wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not restore her [to him], know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours. (Genesis 20:6-7)(AMP)

And Abimelech said to Isaac; Go away from us, for you are much mightier than we are. (Genesis 26:16)(AMP)

Isaac was seen Mighty based on GOD's favour and blessedness upon him. (Genesis 26:1-16)

In a nutshell, a Prophet is called based on the level of calling and GOD's favour on him.

The deeds and words of a SERVANT OF GOD proves God's favour, even CHRIST JESUS was the MIGHTIEST PROPHET EVER, THE SON OF GOD.

And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people.(Luke 24:19)(KJV)

Time isn't enough for me to elaborate on David's mighty men, (2 Samuel 23:8-39) , (1 Chronicles 11:10-25) .They are called mighty based on the exploits they did FOR THE LORD. For those who have been urging over THE TITLE OF THE MAN OF GOD, isn't it time to repent while the door is still open!

Why THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD is addressed as "Iord''

"Lord" is a title of respect to a person with authority based on the office of power one beholds.
When used in reference to SERVANTS OF GOD, the bible has all answers:

The heads of the fathers' houses of the families of the sons of Gilead son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the fathers' houses of the sons of Joseph, came near and spoke before Moses and the leaders, the heads of the fathers' houses of the Israelites.
They said, THE LORD commanded [you] my lord to give the land for inheritance by lot to the Israelites; and my lord was commanded by THE LORD to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother to his daughters.(Numbers 36:1-2) (AMP)

We see some of the Israelite leaders address Moses as 'Lord".

As Obadiah was on the way, behold, Elijah met him. He recognized him and fell on his face and said, Are you my lord Elijah? He answered him, It is I. Go tell your lord, Behold, Elijah is here. (I Kings 18:7-8)(AMP)

"like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear. (1 Peter 3:6)" (NIV)

Now when Abigail saw David, she dismounted quickly from the donkey, fell on her face before David, and bowed down to the ground. So she fell at his feet and said: "On me, my lord, on me let this iniquity be! And please let your maidservant speak in your ears, and hear the words of your maidservant. Please, let not my lord regard this scoundrel Nabal. For as his name is, so is he: Nabal is his name, and folly is with him! But I, your maidservant, did not see the young men of my lord whom you sent. Now therefore, my lord, as the LORD lives and as your soul lives, since the LORD has held you back from coming to bloodshed and from avenging yourself with your own hand, now then, let your enemies and those who seek harm for my lord be as Nabal. (1 Samuel 25:23-26)(NKJV)

There are many scriptures to instruct us on this, but the ones I have stated can help us grasp the message.

DECORUM AND RESPECT WHIILE ADDRESSING THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD
I have decided to tell it all out, lest some people find themselves being consumed by THE FIRE OF GOD as judgment due to ignorance, carelessness and heedlessness.

When king Ahaziah fell down from the lattice in the upper chamber, he was injured and became sick therefore he sent messengers to Baalzebub, the Ekronian god to inquire of him, whether he will recover from his sickness or not. The WORD OF GOD came to Elijah who went and met the messengers of Ahaziah and Elijah returned them to the king (Ahaziah) to go ask him why he had inquired of the abominable god of Ekron as though there was no GOD in Israel. As a consequence, Ahaziah was told that he will surely die! (2 Kings 1:1-17)

The king then sent a captain in charge of fifty with his fifty to Elijah THE PROPHET OF GOD. The way he addressed THE MAN OF GOD with a lot of contempt made GOD, THE CONSUMING FIRE kill them . HE killed the first and the second group the king sent to Elijah, HIS SERVANT.

Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab. [King] Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber in Samaria and lay sick. He sent messengers, saying, Go, ask Baal-zebub, the god of
[Philistine] Ekron, if I shall recover from this illness. But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king in Samaria and say to them, Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore the Lord says: You [Ahaziah] shall not leave the bed on which you lie, but shall surely die. And Elijah departed. When the messengers returned to Ahaziah, he said, Why have you turned back? They replied, A man came up to meet us who said, Go back to the king who sent you and tell him, Thus says the Lord: Is there no God in Israel that you send to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you shall not leave the bed on which you lie, but shall surely die. The king asked, What was the man like who came to meet you saying these things? They answered; He was a hairy man with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite. Then the king sent to Elijah a captain of fifty men with his fifty [to seize him]. He found Elijah sitting on a hilltop and said, Man of God, the king says, Come down. Elijah said to the captain of fifty, If I am a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty. And fire fell from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.
Again King [Ahaziah] sent to him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he said to Elijah, Man of God, the king has said, Come down quickly! And Elijah answered, If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.(2 Kings 1:1-12)(AMP)

GOD killed them in HIS HOLY AND JELOUS ANGER because they despised the authority/ anointing of HIS SERVANT Elijah. Why didn't they humble before ELIJAH as Obadiah did in 1 Kings 17:7-8?

The church, kings, presidents, pastors, the entire priesthood should be humble and honor GOD by respecting HIS true servants, even HIS MIGHTY PROPHET. Without repentance, people are likely to perish eternally as CHRIST said ".repent or perish" in Luke 13:1-5 . The media should learn from 2 Kings 1:1-12 as we know Galatians 6:7 say we can't mock GOD and what we sow is what we will reap! Isn't it a good time to repent and prepare the way of THE LORD? Lets learn from the third captain the king sent to Elijah :

Ahaziah sent again a captain of a third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up and fell on his knees before Elijah and besought him and said to him, O man of God, I pray you, let my life and the lives of these fifty, your servants, be precious in your sight. Behold, fire came down from heaven and burned up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties. Therefore let my life now be precious in your sight. The angel of the Lord said to Elijah, Go down with him; do not be afraid of him. So he arose and went with him to the king. Elijah said to [King] Ahaziah, Thus says the Lord: Since you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel of Whom to inquire His word? Therefore you shall not leave the bed on which you lie, but shall surely die.(2 Kings 1:13-17)(AMP)

THE HOLY SPIRIT instructs us to exercise humility, respect and decorum while addressing GOD'S SERVANT. Let's remember He has come in the same "Spirit and Power of Elijah"

Lets look at the story of MOSES,THE MAN OF GOD the rebellious Korah , Dathan and Abiram:

Now Korah son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men, And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the Israelites, 250 princes or leaders of the congregation called to the assembly, men well known and of distinction. And they gathered together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, [Enough of you!] You take too much upon yourselves, seeing that all the congregation is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. Why then do you lift yourselves up above the assembly of the Lord? (Numbers 16:1-3)(AMP)

The bible says when Moses , THE MAN OF GOD tried to summon them, possibly to ask them to seek GOD's mercy as He was a Prophet and He knew GOD will judge them, they refused and rebelled even more against God and against Moses.
Let us see what happens next!

And Moses said, By this you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, for I do not act of my own accord: If these men die the common death of all men or if [only] what happens to everyone happens to them, then the Lord has not sent me. But if the Lord causes a new thing [to happen], and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up, with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into Sheol (the place of the dead), then you shall understand that these men have provoked (spurned, despised) the Lord! As soon as he stopped speaking, the ground under the offenders split apart And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households and [Korah and] all [his] men and all their possessions. They and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol (the place of the dead); and the earth closed upon them, and they perished from among the assembly.

Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. He did evil in the sight of the LORD his God; he did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet who spoke for the LORD.(2 Chronicles 36:11-12)(NASB)

THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD speaks for THE LORD, it is for us to obey.

And whether they listen or fail to listen--for they are a rebellious people--they will know that a prophet has been among them. (Ezekiel 2:5)(NIV)

But when I speak to you, I will open your mouth and you shall say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says.' Whoever will listen let them listen, and whoever will refuse let them refuse; for they are a rebellious people. (Ezekiel 3:27)(NIV)

We see GOD ALMIGHTY has made the MAN OF GOD go all over the earth announcing the coming of THE MESSIAH to all people, presidents, the learned and the unlearned,, even as we see all the favor of GOD upon HIS SERVANT, we are reminded of THE BLESSEDNESS OF GOD,

And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men. (1 Samuel 2:26)(KJV)

A SEVERE WARNING!
No one can afford to abuse the MAN OF GOD at this hour, all we need to do is embrace the message and obey. For the ignorant and those who like to abuse the MAN OF GOD on social websites , in their rooms , in their churches ,in the media, in their discussions or even in their hearts ,

1. What happened to those who abused AND mocked Elisha, GOD's SERVANT

23Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up by the way, young lads came out from the city and mocked him and said to him, "Go up, you baldhead; go up, you baldhead!" 24When he looked behind him and saw them, he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two female bears came out of the woods and tore up forty-two lads of their number. 25He went from there to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria.(2 Kings 2 :23-24)

2. What happened to those who reviled MOSES, THE MAN OF GOD

Now Miriam and Aaron talked against Moses [their brother] because of his [a]Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite woman.And they said, Has the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? Has He not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it. Now the man Moses was very meek (gentle, kind, and humble) or above all the men on the face of the earth. Suddenly the Lord said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, Come out, you three, to the Tent of Meeting. And the three of them came out. The Lord came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the Tent door and called Aaron and Miriam, and they came forward. And He said, Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make Myself known to him in a vision and speak to him in a dream. But not so with My servant Moses; he is entrusted and faithful in all My house. With him I speak mouth to mouth [directly], clearly and not in dark speeches; and he beholds the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses? And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them, and He departed. And when the cloud departed from over the Tent, behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. And Aaron looked at Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous! And Aaron said to Moses, Oh, my lord, I plead with you, lay not the sin upon us in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned. Let her not be as one dead, already half decomposed when he comes out of his mother's womb. And Moses cried to the Lord, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech You! And the Lord said to Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed for seven days? Let her be shut up outside the camp for seven days, and after that let her be brought in again. So Miriam was shut up without the camp for seven days, and the people did not journey on until Miriam was brought in again. Afterward [they] removed from Hazeroth and encamped in the Wilderness of Paran.(Numbers 12:1-16)(AMP)

But they mocked God's messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the LORD was aroused against his people and there was no remedy.(2 Chronicles 36:16)(NIV)

5. What is likely to happen to those who abuse THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF GOD?

And if anyone attempts to injure them, fire pours from their mouth and consumes their enemies; if anyone should attempt to harm them, thus he is doomed to be slain.(Revelation 11:6)(AMP)

Note :( we know that THE MIGHTY PROPHET OF THE LORD will be one of these two witnesses IN TRIBULATION TIME(post rapture) we will discuss this in another article if GOD willing) and revelation 11:6 speaks of post rapture!) What does that tell us? Time is absolutely over! The Spirit and power of Elijah He will operate in during THE TRIBULATION is the SAME ANOINTING He is operating with now!

THE DUAL FULLFILLMENT OF PROPHECY IN MALACHI
The concept of dual fulfillment of some biblical prophecies is absolutely scriptural. As the bible is the weighing balance for verification of all divide truths, the dual prophecy fulfillment of some biblical prophecies is supported by scripture.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.(2 Timothy 2:15)(KJV)

Is the prophecy concerning the one who prepares the way of THE LORD fulfilled wholly in John The Baptist? A correct answer is found in scriptures.
The dual fulfillment of some prophecies include:

In Hosea 11:1, the bible says " When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt" but as we understand it in context, this doesn't seem to be a prophecy , God was referring to HIS delivery of Israel in Egypt by the hand of Moses something that had already been fulfilled. It is amazing that as we read in Matthew 2:14-15, the bible says, "When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son" this scripture is about JESUS CHRIST . We see dual fulfillment here!

In Isaiah 7:11-18, The bible says " Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD. And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good. For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings. The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father's house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria."

We see the above scripture fulfilled when Hezekiah is born who delivered Israel from the hand of Assyrians, later on we see this scripture fulfilled in the Birth of THE LORD JESUS in Matthew 1:22-23.
Many other prophecies are fulfilled in accordance to this divine pattern. And yes, the prophecy concerning THE ONE WHO PREPARES THE WAY OF THE LORD is fulfilled in John The Baptist AND ALSO In THE MIGHTY ENDTIME PROPHET OF THE LORD, Dr. David Edward Owour.

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes. And he shall turn and reconcile the hearts of the [estranged] fathers to the [ungodly] children, and the hearts of the [rebellious] children to [the piety of] their fathers [a reconciliation produced by repentance of the ungodly], lest I come and smite the land with a curse and a ban of utter destruction" (Malachi 4:5)

We see a messenger sent before the great and terrible day of THE LORD. We all know "The day of The LORD" is yet to come, and the day of the LORD is an end time event as we read in 1 Thessalonians 5:2 in reference to the rapture (end time event) "as a thief" and also in other places of scripture in reference to GOD's judgment upon the ungodly in the end time (tribulation-end time event) (Zephaniah 1:14)
