My Sunday School Lesson Bible Reading for the week of May 12, 2013 (Mother's Day) is coming from the Books of Romans, Proverbs, Titus, Matthew, I Timothy, I Peter and II Peter.

Introduction & Motto (Proverbs 1:1-7)

Proverbs 1:1-7 contains the title, "The proverbs of Solomon the son of David," etc., and is of the nature of the book. The remaining portion of the section forms a connected poem in praise of wisdom.

The Hebrew title of the book is 'Mishle,' the singular of which is 'mashal,' usually translated "proverb.
