Peace in the Storms

by Faith C
3/31/2012 / Testimonies

Friend, are you having continuous storms in your life or are the ill winds of fate battering you down? Do you find it hard to stand up or face another day? Do you fret and worry and have no idea when will there be peace and calm? Do you fear the future or find it hard to face today?

I can relate to you for I've been through many such experiences. My life has not been easy and when one storm passes over me, another appears in the horizon. I've faced different trials and torments, tests and temptations, it's been a tough journey. I've been angry and hated my life, hated others who caused me great trouble but slowly its all melted away. I've lived with fear but also lived with God. Fear tried to win but He always overcame it in me.

Life has been extremely difficult and cannot remember days of peace but it's been of victory and strength in times of need. I've had to often wait up to the last minute for relief but God has never let me sink. Sometimes when I have fallen right down, I found He was waiting to catch me and others He was waiting to pull me up.

I've never known how to trust people because they often hurt me but have had the pleasure of God's Presence 24/7. When I've had my faith tested, He always reached me directly or via people or situations. He never shunned me when I failed Him. His arms were always open and it meant HOME and PEACE.

I've been having new battles since last August with an illness and Doctors cannot find out what's wrong. I've not been able to work and unsure what to do with the rest of my life. Money is tight and have to live in trust that He will provide.

New trials are placed over me and His Spirit guides me and His wisdom prompts me to make the right decisions. A free holiday for 19 days pops up out of the blue by the generosity of a dear friend and its all inclusive including massages and a doctor on board to care for me. Doctor's start to be more generous with their fees when I share I am unable to work. It is a new experience to tell others I am not working and have not enough money; there is no shame.

Another friend calls to support me and others start to stand by. No longer am I alone... I wake up with the song '"Not by might, nor by power but by My Spirit" says the Lord. This mountain shall be removed, this mountain will be removed, this mountain shall be removed by My Spirit" says the Lord"'. He reminds me to keep looking at Him and stay trusting.

The Sun beams on me to show me He created it and symbolizes His Authority, the Seas roar praising His Glory. I am reminded how powerful He is and know that if God be for me, who can be against me? He is my Father, my Saviour and continually watches over me. Sometimes in my humanity, there is fear and doubt, but in His Divinity I gain strength and arise. There is no easy road but there is always a road upward towards Him.

Friend - you are not alone in your struggles. Please stand firm and stay strong. The same God, who has been with me in diverse difficulties, is with you. He has not forsaken me and will neither forsake you. Please call upon His Name, call on our Saviour Jesus and invite Him into your life. Make Him your Lord and He will be the Lord over all aspects of your life.

He will make you bold and give you strength. Help will come from above in times of need. Faith will increase through trials and sufferings. Each experience will turn out to have a blessing in them and teach you something beautiful.

Maybe we will be stripped of everything on earth but one thing is sure, we will be filled completely with God. When we die, we will be so confident that we can die alone, for we have tasted and seen how good He is and how faithful He has been.

There are many Churches that have great sermons online, spend time hearing them, go to Church, get people to pray for you, read the Bible and hold on to its promises, hear holy music and sing to the Lord, talk to God throughout the day and pray from your heart. These will lift you up in your days of trial and strengthen you. Let not pride stand in your way and share your struggles with trusted friends and ask if you have to for help.

May God bless you and keep you. May His Face shine upon you and be merciful to you. May He answer you in your day of trouble and may His Peace that surpasses all understanding be upon you now and forever amen.
