Bible Heroes: Who am I?

My name is translated to mean rebellious or bitter. After Jesus freed me from seven demons I became one of his closest followers. I was there for His crucifixion and the first to find His tomb empty on the third day after His burial. One of my famous verses is John 20:18 ".....went to the disciples with the news: "I have seen the Lord!" And she told them that he had said these things to her." Who am I?
