Crucial Lessons from the German
Invasion of France During the
Second World War

Introduction

A runaway train will instill a sense of fear and dread in anyone that may cross its path. Its engine roars a clear message to all: "Get out of the way or be run over!" That would be anyone's first reactionto get out of its way. This was the message sent to all European nations by Hitler's Third Reich at the onset of Word War II.

After Hitler bullied and deceived his way into the heart of Austria, in a one-on-one session, he told the Austrian chancellor that France had the power to stop him during the Rhineland occupation but did nothing and that "now it is too late for France." Even Hitler knew that the nation of France by itself could have stopped him! This brings us to one important conclusion:

The increasing momentum of Hitler's train of totalitarian rule was first fueled by the apathy and passivity of those who could have stopped him but did nothing as if, in their arrogance, they erroneously did not see him as a plausible threat or were already paralyzed by the momentum of the "speeding train."

The presence of no formidable obstacles to a speeding train is the freedom it needs to continue its course. Those religions, nations, and governments driven by a hunger for power and world dominance are enabled and empowered by those who do nothing. The more ground gained by those who are consumed with a hunger for power, the more courage they gain to continue their villainous conquest. Derailing, stopping, or at least slowing down such momentum is done by strategically placing blockades (forces) that adequately resist the forward motion of the train. The proper use of a baseball bat will propel a speeding baseball in the opposite direction at a faster speed than it was thrown. (This will conclude your Physics lesson for today.)

In this context, the answer to the conceited bully of the Third Reich would be a bigger bully. France could have been that "bigger bully" but missed its window of opportunity. Poland and Austria were the "fuel" Hitler needed to invade nearly all of Europe. With his thirst for blood inflamed, France would be easy prey, and she capitulated with hardly a fight and became Hitler's trophy of trophies, allowing him access to the English Channel and abundant resources. One French general was noted for saying something similar to: "France has lost, this is the work of thirty years of Marxism."

As the German troops stood in France at the shores of the English Channel with Great Britain in their sights, the French government whimpered, "England has failed us." In reality, the French government and Church failed its people and its allies. France was a nation that had forgotten its heritage. A free republic, having a history riddled with the revolutionary blood of a people who refused to succumb to totalitarian oppression, had forgotten the price of freedom (or at least her government had). The majority of French people did not agree with the French premier's collaboration with Hitler. Most did not consent to the government's conformity to Hitler's hatred, capture, and murder of many of the Jews in France.

The French government at that time was a government out of touch with its people. Perhaps, the Christian population was out of touch with their God-given responsibilities blinded by the mixture of man-made religious tradition with the true and pure application of Christian faith. The ability to understand the impact that the power of the Truth, presented from a pure Spirit-filled heart, could have on a nation, its people, and its government had obviously become something only relegated to the early apostles.

The early Church had this legacy: "With great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all" (Acts 4:33). As the result of the powerfully effective teaching/preaching of the Apostle Paul in Ephesus, spanning a period of nearly two years and accompanied with various signs and wonders of the Holy Ghost, "the Word of God grew mightily and prevailed" (Acts 19:20). Christ has granted His Church the power to transform individuals, cities, and nations. What are we doing with it? The Church's priority is not to make sure civil government is fulfilling its responsibilities but to ensure that its ministry of reconciling the world to God is progressing in manner well-pleasing to Christ (II Cor. 5). This must now be the modern Church's legacy. The train is coming.

Free nations will fall if the civil governments and churches thereof fail in their God-given responsibilities. Governments of free nations must make the security of their borders, the enforcement and sanctity of their God-given laws, and the greatest good and morale of their people the highest priority. The Church must make the promotion of God-consciousness through the preaching of the Gospel their greatest priority within that nation.

The Buck Stops Here

These were not just empty words on a plaque displayed on President Harry Truman's desk. These words defined his presidency. He mentioned it in many of his presidential addresses and at his farewell speech. By his decision, the atomic bombs were dropped on Japan, ending the war with them and, consequently, saving the lives of tens of thousands of our troops. It was bad for Japan and its decimated civilians but was good for our troops. An invasion attempt into the main island of Japan would have most likely been far worse for our troops and Japan. Decisions made in warfare cannot always be defined just in terms of good and bad but more so in terms of what is necessary or what is the lesser of two evils. In light of this, someone has to make those kinds of unpopular decisions in spite of public or international opinion. Unpopular, offensive, and "intolerant" decisions must be made today in our nation to maintain "...a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity."

Unlike Harry Truman, the French government wanted to pass the blame and responsibility. They failed to rise to the occasion. However, France's complacency did not end in complete fatality for them. The grit and iron-willed determination of the "underground" rebellion within France and the German-occupied European nations, of Winston Churchill and the British military, of the Russian people, of the Australians and Canadians, of the United States and other nations, and the combined prayers and exploits of all the saints proved to be the formidable obstacles capable of halting and derailing Hitler's forward motion.

Is there hope for today? Have we waited too long, as did France? To what am I referring?

Do you know that we have a religious group in North America who are gaining more and more momentum? They have one ultimate goal in mind: Complete domination. History reveals four stages used by devout Muslims to take over countries, if not at first by military force: 1.) evangelism, 2.) consolidation of power, 3.) revolution, and 4.) the establishment of an Islamic State. A devout Muslim, one who adheres to the complete teachings of the Koran, cannot sincerely swear allegiance to the U.S. flag and the republic for which it stands. They cannot associate with Christian or Jew but are encouraged to kill them. These teachings are central to their theology. A few quotes from the Koran should be convincing enough:
48:29: "Those who follow Muhammad are merciless for the unbelievers but kind to each other."
60:4: "We have renounced you; and enmity and hatred is begun between us and you for ever, until ye believe in Allah alone."
9:29 "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the last day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and his apostle"

These quotes and many others clearly promote hatred, enmity, and merciless treatment upon those who refuse to believe in Islam. They come directly from a man (Muhammad) that Muslims refer to as their Prophet. The Koran refers to him as Allah's apostle. I do not believe anyone who truly appreciates the freedoms we enjoy in this nation would want to be citizens of a nation where Islam is declared the state religion. Islam and a free republic are mutually exclusive to one another.

No proof in history exists up to this day that Islam can coincide with any civil government except for a monarchy that makes its constitution the Koran (i.e. Saudi Arabia). This is why American "democracy" will fail in Iraq. Apart from God's intervention, Iraq will eventually choose the Koran over their "hero" liberators. Someone please show me a Muslim nation that is tolerant of any other religion in that nation. This intolerance is not typical of some fanatical, extremist Muslims but of all those nations in which Islam dominates. It is fundamental to their beliefs.

What is the Church's responsibility in this matter? To become so salty and full of light (Matt 5:13-16) until there is a high conversion rate of Muslims to Christianity, deterring devout Muslims from coming here. We must lay hold of the horns of the altar of Christ's sacrifice for the sins of all until its power shakes the very heavens, refusing to let go until multitudes are birthed into God's Kingdom.

Our federal government's responsibility is to protect "we the people" from enemies both foreign and domestic. Any threat to our foundational constitutional law, liberties, and rights whether from a religion or not, domestic or foreign, is a national security risk. The freedom of religion is no longer a freedom if a religion, using passive or aggressive means, seeks ultimately and covertly to deny another that freedom.

"Well, brother, we must be tolerant of other religions and open to other political philosophies. Our constitution guarantees freedom of religion and freedom of speech."
Yeah...and France was tolerant toward Hitler.

We were "tolerant" when we elected a professed neo-Marxist, President Barack Obama, into office. Both his past and present provide evidence of his Marxist political views, although those views may not be considered Marxist in its purest, original form. Mr. Obama's childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, was a communist who belonged to a party subservient to the Soviet Union. In his book, Dreams from My Father, Mr. Obama repeatedly and favorably refers to him as Frank. "Uncle" Frank had an obvious and profound impact our president. What is wrong with this picture? How impressionable is a child? The child was trained by a communist and the records show our president has shown favoritism toward professed Marxist throughout his political career.

Marxism (the Soviet Union form of communism), even in its most feeble form, is the archenemy of everything our constitution stands for. Karl Marx, co-author of the Communist Manifesto, offered "social/economic justice and equity," promises of employment for all, national and universal healthcare, and protection from whatever may threaten their way of life but offered them no protection from himself. What did Marxism cost the people? They had no right to bear arms, no freedom of speech, no freedom of the press, no freedom of religion, no right to own private property, and no right to free enterprise. The government determined their right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The people became mere objects of manipulation used for the self-aggrandizement of the Marxist ideal.

In order to become better acquainted with him, here are some quotes from Mr. Marx:
> "The first requisite for the happiness of the people is the abolition of religion."
> "The theory of Communism may be summed up in one sentence: Abolish all private property."
> "The rich will do anything for the poor but get off their backs."
> "Religion is the impotence of the human mind to deal with occurrences it cannot understand."
> "Social progress can be measured by the social position of the female sex."
> "For the bureaucrat, the world is a mere object to be manipulated by him."

Lovely ole chap, wasn't he?
Has the politically correct message of "tolerance" lost its charm yet?

A true Marxist holds to no particular religion but will use it to manipulate the "weak-minded" religious to accomplish its goals. When left with no other option, a true Marxist will choose a religious cause for its on survival. Appealing to a society's sense of "social justice," "economic equality," and hailing the causes of civil and equal rights for all is used only as a guise to promote its ideals as the answer. Marxism ultimately only cares for itself at the expense of those it plunders.

In his book, Strength to Love, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote, "a true Christian cannot be a true Communist." While Barack Obama likes comparing himself with Dr. King, under King's standards, Obama could not be a true Christian. In fact, Mr. Obama has indicated, at least indirectly, that when things get bad he will always stand with the Muslim. I guess for him that would be better than a beheading for not believing in Allah and his "true" prophet, Muhammad. His ideals of Marxism would still survive, at least in their latent form. This is an indictment against civil rights activists, claiming to be Christians, who voted for and continue to support Mr. Obama.

Islam and Marxism can initially in appearance seem harmless, of little to no threat, until they gain the upper hand of dominance in a nation. They are now gaining momentum, winning the "tolerance" of some people. If they arise to the place of dominance, the causes of tolerance they paraded will no longer be allowed for the conquered.

This is not an attempt to compare President Obama and those who agree with his Marxist philosophy and the Muslims in this nation with Hitler. The main point is that both Marxism and Islam end in totalitarian rule if allowed to arise to a place of domination in a nation. As already conveyed, the evidence to this exists both in history and present day.

Am I charging all the "peaceful" Muslims in this nation with some sinister motivation to ultimately take over this nation? No, I am only pointing out the true nature of Islam and its fundamental beliefs as represented in those Muslim nations existing today and within the Koran. It is probable that many Muslims have come here because they simply desire to experience the freedoms that we enjoy. May God expose and judge those who seek to superimpose their lust for world dominance on this nation, within or without.

Am I charging President Obama with some sinister motivation to promote a Marxist agenda contrary to the Constitution of this nation? No, I have only pointed out verifiable facts, some written by his own hand, of those philosophies that have obviously influenced his political, religious, and world views. We must leave such judgment to God and believe that He will do it. May He prove the true state of all things as opposed to how they outwardly appear and expose every covert scheme that seeks the demise of this free republic. I pray our president will have a life-changing encounter with the King of kings, the Lord Jesus Christ.

What are "we the people" and the federal and local governments of this country going to do about these things? Along with these, this generation is facing many-a-threat. What is the Church going to do? Unpopular, offensive, "intolerant" decisions are pending.

It is time to arise to the occasion. The train is coming!
