Crazy Kitten
by Marijo Phelps Around and round she went Chasing her toy she stopped For her little cat-nip mouse In front of the dog kerplopped! Cautiously she looked at him A great golden mass of fur The retriever drowsily snoozing there Didn't even stir The tiny kitten gazed at him And blinked her big blue eyes The huge dog dozing there Was about nine times her size Cautiously she raised her paw And sent that mouse a skittering Right straight into the doggie's nose That set his eyelids flittering.
