My Thoughts on it
by Stanley Davis On November 4th as we went to the polls and voted our candidate into office, we realized that America is not the Christian nation it once was. That was more of an historical event then anyone could imagine. On that day the American people chose not to agree with what our founding fathers placed in our trust. Instead they voted on selfish lusts and not morals. To paraphrase what our newly elected President stated this is not a Christian nation anymore it is a nation of Christians, Moslems, Jews and many other peoples. It would appear that we have forgotten those lessons learned just a few years ago when a Moslem terrorist organization entered this wonderful country and took over three-thousand lives to their death. Maybe no one even cares anymore because they look for change? It would appear that Americans do not know we are fighting against Moslem terrorist groups in the Middle East. A question comes to mind. Who really funded his campaign? It would also appear when we voted on that black Tuesday that we left our morals at home because it was not needed. Now it does not matter to me what color or race a person is, but when we place a person into office, we need to be sure he has morals and can run this country for the next four years to make it better. We need someone who is stable, someone who will stand in time of crisis. I am concerned about our children, our families and our jobs because of statements made by our newly elected. He wants to make the sanctity of marriage a thing of the past, he wants to completely legalize the murder of unborn children, and he wants to raise taxes on the working class person so those already on entitlements can get a raise. If the Government would start taxing those on entitlements, or better yet, get those who can work off entitlements we would not have to raise taxes. There are many other issues at hand but these stick out in my mind. How could this country have elected someone stable as water that does not have a backbone to stand? There is a change coming and the American people better get ready. The change will not be what they expected or what they wanted. We have opened the door to many infallible dangers that this country will have to face. I hope our elected officials will do what is right, because we do need a change, but a change for the better. The next four years will be something to watch. Stanley Davis, Author, Writer, and Minister. email: [email protected] Opinions are mine only Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
