"WWJVF" - Who Would Jesus Vote For?
by Lawrence Householder

How about a consideration that brings the heart of Christianity into every voter's mind?

Who would Jesus vote for? Would he vote for the 'moneylender'? Would he vote for the candidate that represents the Party that says NO to helping children with healthcare? Would he vote for the Party that has the philosophy and purpose of making the rich richer - with the corollary consequence that the poor get poorer? Is not the term "religious right" an oxymoron that Jesus would immediately recognize as the epitome of hypocrisy? If you are a Christian, and believe that Jesus Christ is your savior, how can you - in good conscience - follow and vote for a party whose core philosophy favors the 'rich' at the expense of the poor? . . . a philosophy that is all about making money for the 'moneylenders', with no regard to their fellow human beings who have little to nothing? With no regard for anyone but themselves, and their kind? Are they not the modern day temple 'moneylenders' whose table's Jesus kicked over in disgust?

If you are a Christian, and you believe in the love and words of Jesus, how could you vote for John McCain and the Republican forum, and not, at the same time, experience a profound guilt over betraying your belief in, and love for, Jesus?

How in good faith can one reconcile the differences between Republican philosophy and the words of Jesus? That is THE personally important question that every Christian voter MUST ask themselves. For Republican Christians and Independent voters, it is also THE core fundamental faith dilemma.

To the millions of people who SAY they are Christians, and are considering voting for the Party of the 'moneylenders', please stop and step back to take another serious look at what you will be doing - the truth of your beliefs and faith depend upon it. Please see the obvious dichotomy and negative consequences for the 98% of the human beings in our country who are not one of the 'rich' . . . who are not one of the 'moneylenders'. Experience too, the reality of voting for the 2% over the 98%, and what Jesus will judge your true heart and faith in him to be. Would Jesus vote for those who say to the poor, "You're on your own."? Everyone knows what his answer would be.

What WOULD JESUS do? And who WOULD he vote for? Based on what he says in the Bible, it would NOT be for John McCain, or anyone else attached to the Republican philosophy. His words indicate what his thoughts would certainly be - "They don't give a squat for the well being of anyone but their 'kind'." And knowing that it is an obvious religious conflict that the majority of Christian Republican and Independent voters must keep buried deep in their subconscious mind, the Republican Party 'faithful' do not even attempt to hide their 'Christian' hypocrisy. No, just the opposite! They proclaim it, saying to all who will listen that they are doing God's work, and have in their heart the well-being of everyone in our country. They staunchly proclaim their Christian faith as one of their basic values. Do NOT listen to their words. Look at their actions. Review their past actions, and their proposed future actions. They detail an agenda that is diametrically opposite to the teaching and words of Jesus Christ!

Christians? REAL Christians who believe in the words and heart and love of Jesus? I think not. Do you? Do you REALLY? What would Jesus say to them? Most certainly, "Give me a break . . . " Yes, it's true that I am just guessing here on what he would say, but it is an educated guess; IF you read his words, and believe in his spirit, it is an easy guess that would be extremely difficult to get wrong. His words hold no ambiguity . . .

So, I am shouting out to all Christians: PLEASE say NO to the moneylenders . . . say NO to the Republican agenda . . . say NO to John McCain!

Say YES to Barack Obama! Why? The answer is as apparent as the intent of what Jesus said and held to be true. The Obama philosophy, agenda, and core beliefs are light years closer to the will and heart of Jesus than the McCain (or any TRUE Republican) philosophy, agenda and core belief system.

Thank you for seriously considering what your true heart already knows.
