Baptism of Fire.
by Kenneth O'Reilly I had read what was written in the N.T. regarding Fasting. As there was no mention of it in the church I supposed it wasn't for us today. But, as I continued to meditate on the subject, I suddenly found I was Fasting without any conscious deliberation to do so. I kept this to myself, not mentioning it to anyone. During the Fast, which lasted 21 days, I experienced patches of comfortable burning, mostly on my head and shoulders, but also on other parts of my body; it was like a sun lamp. During this Fast my witness was toned down, and I had a 12 year old boy in the sunday school at the Baptist church return after all the children had left; he came up to me and said he would like to accept Jesus. Was I flabbergasted! I knew that it was the work of the Holy Spirit. Maybe you have had the same joy of seeing someone accept Jesus. Member of the Baptist church, Fulham, London.
