What will be, will be…
Some think their future and fate is sealed; shrugging their shoulders they sigh. 'Why fight it?' Faith never enters the picture. That’s just wishful thinking; or is it? I think not!
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear (Hebrews 11:1-3 KJV).”
True, the LORD is sovereign; He will fulfill His plan. Yet, His children have their part too. Willing participants join in His kingdom work. Each baby step of faith brings needed courage. Queen Esther’s faith was tested.
She found herself at the crux of conflict; could a planned extermination of her fellow Jews be averted? Could she make a difference? Queen Esther’s faith changed the course of history. Trusting cousin Mordecai’s advice, she took action.
“Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,
Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish (Esther 4:15-16 KJV).”
What will be, will be.
Esther didn’t cast her fate to the winds. She waited for the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to reveal His power.
