Some women are drawn to jewelry stores. Much like kids at a candy counter; these ladies must take a peek at jewelry in the display case. Store owners have arranged costly rings, bracelets, broaches, earrings and necklaces under glass.
Most often, the jewelry and gems sit atop black velvet within a lighted cabinet. Each display is Cest`Magnifique! The jewelers have proudly displayed their wares. God puts His children on display too.
"But thanks be to God, who always puts us on display in Christ, and spreads through us in every place the scent of knowing Him (2 Corinthians 2:14 HCSB)."
Do you know Him?
It’s been said that believers may be the only Bible some people will ever read. In Christ, I am on display. Am I drawing the lost to Christ? I’m ashamed that I so poorly represent the Savior. I have nothing to boast about. My flaws cloud the facets and clarity of His light.
“Then Jesus spoke to them again: ‘I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life (John 8:12 HCSB).”
Lord, help me display your love and grace.
“For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift—not from works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9 HCSB).”
