"If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me". Matthew 16:24 KJV

As of 2007, there were 15,000 different Christian denominations registered with the IRS of the USA approved to be granted tax xemption. No doubt that number is higher today.

Add to that another 34,000 different groups 0f Christians* throughout the rest of the world and one gets the idea global Christiansity is pretty diverse in practice and in their beliefs.

When Jesus said to His discipiles to "take up his cross, and follow me", I don't think He had 15,000 different creeds in mind, but rather just only one: His Way, The only Way.
