As the LORD says in Joshua 1:8 (NKJV), “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

To "meditate" is not the spooky thing unlearned and deceived people do to calm down and come to a mental state that opens them dangerously to the enemy's deception, but simply "to think about something over and over."

It's the same with anything we practice. Meditation is mental practice--for good or bad. 

Also, meditation that truly changes our lives for good doe not just happen. It is deliberate. We use our free wills to choose to think on good things, specifically, God's Word. 

He promises that, when we deliberately choose to meditate--think about over and over, and speak out loud--His Word, that we will make our way prosperous and successful! 

Hallelujah!

So, it is never God holding us back from success! It is our own wrong thinking and acting (or lack of right thinking, and lack of right acting) that keeps us from success. (Ask me how I know.)

However, the LORD is so good and gracious! He loves us, and the blood of Jesus actually paid for our success! We must do our part, but know the LORD did the hard stuff! Also, it is Him Who helps us do anything, including breathe!

So I answered them, and said to them, “The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build, but you have no heritage or right or memorial in Jerusalem.”--Nehemiah 2:20, NKJV

The LORD is a good, sweet, doting Daddy, Who loves to help us with the big things, the small things, and everything in between. Believe it or not, He is interested in every detail of our lives!

When even our dear spouses or other loved ones are not interested, Jesus is!

We must meditate on these truths to get them into our hearts; that God is not mad at us; that He and Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit (Who is Jesus living in our hearts, once we have repented of our sins and asked God to forgive and cleanse us and come into our lives and be our LORD and Savior!); and that He wants to help us be successful and prosperous--and that, the fastest and best and most triumphant and effective way to do that is to do things His way! (I'm talking to myself, too!)

After all, He is the Creator and Sustainer of all life; He gives us every breath! He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), and we who hope in Him will not be disappointed! 

They cried out to You and were delivered; They trusted in You and were not disappointed or ashamed. - Psalm 22:5, AMP

It's too easy to blame others for our lack of success. However, the LORD will help us realize that we are "the prophets of our own lives," and will help us understand how to make good choices that will give us the true success we really want! 

He loves to help us, so ask Him today to guide you, then know that He may work in ways you'd never think--but He will help you! 

Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. - Matthew 7:7, AMP
