Do It Anyway!
by Tonja Taylor

The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. -Proverbs 28:1, KJV

So many times, others have tried to hinder me when I've thought big, which usually means, bigger than them. We should always seek God and go by His wisdom, of course. However, when we know that we know that we know God is telling us to do something, and if we have peace that stays, we can choose to do it anyway--and God will back us up!

He is our Good Shepherd, Who forever leads us in right paths. Hallelujah!

When the LORD is truly leading us to do something, we will often have an idea about something that appeals to us, and that idea will come back to us.

LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR: When the LORD Jesus Christ, the God of Heaven and earth, the Creator and Sustainer of all life, Who is the Spirit of Truth, is leading us, HE WILL ALWAYS SPEAK AND LEAD IN LINE WITH HIS WORD, AND NEVER IN ANY WAY AGAINST IT!!!

That is one of the main reasons we MUST know His Word!

His Holy Spirit, Who is One with God the Father and Jesus the Son, will give us peace when we are going in His way, and will cause that peace to leave or be absent when we are not going His way.

He has not given us the spirit of fear. Sometimes fear masquerades as wisdom, but the LORD has a wonderful way of helping us have faith and be bold to take steps to do His will--no matter what others (even those closest to us) are saying or acting like (ASK ME HOW I KNOW!).

And, even when we miss it, if our hearts are right to please the LORD, His mercy and grace will work good out of our messes (ASK ME HOW I KNOW THAT TOO!).

Hallelujah!

I really like Psalm 25:12-14, which helps me know the LORD will make clear His will to me, as I wait on Him. I do what I know to do, and continue to praise and thank and trust Him, and spend time reading His Word and/or being quiet before Him (even a few minutes a day), and remembering His faithfulness to me all my life (He is forever faithful! He cannot be unfaithful!)

If you believe the LORD is leading you to do something that seems crazy or out of character, one thing I learned from a world-renowned minister is to ask yourself, Will this decision promote the love of God (or is it just to bless myself/for my best/a selfish desire)?

God is perfect, unselfish, unchanging Love (I John 4:8), and He motivates us to do loving things, to express Himself to people.

Although many things the LORD has led me to do have been hard in the natural/in my flesh, He is always with me, protecting, providing, and otherwise helping me; giving me grace and strength and wisdom, and joy in the midst of it. He always works through me to make a positive difference in the lives of others—which is, my dear reader, why we true Believers in Christ Jesus (the only Savior; the only Way to Heaven!) are on the planet!

King Jesus is returning very soon, and we want to take as many with us out of this dark world, into the eternal blissful light of the Kingdom of Heaven!

Many times through my life, the LORD has instructed my heart to do something that seemed illogical and undoable at the time. When I made the mistake of sharing it with those closest to me, I was shocked (less so, as the years went by and the LORD told me to do other things that "didn't make sense"!) to discover that they not only did not agree with me, but scorned my vision(s), and felt threatened by my dreams and desires. I've missed it some, but I learned that, if I got a wrong reaction from certain people, that was actually a sign that it was truly God telling me to do it!

When I've stepped out to "do it anyway," it may have been hard, but it was always worth it! Hallelujah!

As the LORD told me once, when I'd been bold to witness to what others thought was a dangerous man on the street, I was questioning the LORD about if I'd done the right thing. "You never have to be afraid, for I Am always with you," He quickly replied, to my heart. Hallelujah, amen! I hope I made an eternal difference in that man's life, although I did not directly lead him to be born again (and there was also another woman with me, which is wisdom. Jesus sent His disciples out two by two, not alone!).

Ask the LORD to make you bold as a lion, and to help you to be strong and very courageous, and He will strengthen your heart. Amen and amen!

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. - Joshua 1:7, KJV

God is all-knowing, all-powerful, and His Spirit is everywhere. There is no place in the universe that He is not. When we step out and trust Him (and I'm preaching to myself!), He will always be there for us, and can do amazing exploits through and for us! Hallelujah!

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. - Ephesians 3:20-21, KJV

GOD is with you and for you! Overcome the doubt and fear, and DO IT ANYWAY!
