WAR IN ISRAEL
by linzy bruno According to National Geographic, wars are primarily the result of economic, religious and/or political conflicts between 2 or more nations. But this latest war that was started by terrorism and continues to be spurred by terrorism, is the result of extreme hatred of Jewish people, combined with a greed for the richness of the land of Israel, and this marks a significant turning point on God’s Prophetic Timeline. The world has not seen hatred like Israel is currently experiencing since the holocaust. And who would have predicted that this time the hatred would be even more widespread? Nations coming out in protest in the hundreds of thousands, in Parish and London. Other nations supporting Hamas are Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, Indonesia, Ireland, Norway, Maldives, Malaysia, Morocco, Kuwait, Qatar Ireland, Cuba, Colombia, Lebanon and the African Union. (Iran being their top supporter, even supplying many of their weapons.) And because antisemitism is off the charts, no other people group dealing with this kind of brutality would be so widely tolerated. (Mark Hitchcock) In order to unpack a generalized understanding of how Palestine came to be and why Israel and Palestine cannot get beyond their mutual disdain we need to go back in history, to the year 1967. The 6-day war in Israel began with the migration back to the land in 1947. Many of those migrants were Arabs and Muslims. When Israel won the war, some of these non-Jews remained in the land and adopted the name of Palestine from that unorthodox vantage point. But God’s Word clearly declares that the Jews are God’s chosen people and that He gave the Jews the land of Israel as an inheritance: “These are the areas which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel distributed as an inheritance to them.” (Joshua 14:1) Also See: Numbers 36:1. Moreover, the LORD has not and will not forsake Israel: “I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.” (Romans 11:1) “For you are a holy people to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.” (Deuteronomy 7:6)
Also see: Genesis 18:18, 21:12 & 32:28, Isaiah 49:7, Romans 9:3-5 & all the rest of chapter 11, Galatians 6:16.
Due to the fact that Jesus came through Jewish lineage and everyone He taught to believe in Christianity (HIM) were born from this lineage, we know that Christianity was founded or born in/through Judaism. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” (Romans 1:16) The nation of Israel and the lives of the Jewish people have a history in disbursement and persecution. However, what’s going on today is unprecedented. There are Jews today even supporting Palestine, which is further setting the stage for Jacob’s Trouble; God’s name for the coming tribulation of the Jews. Furthermore, Russia is the nation most prophecy teachers believe to be Gog & Magog; (Putin & Crimea) the key nation mentioned in the Ezekiel 38-39 war, and Putin is now siding with Hamas according to the Washington Institute: “It may surprise some that Putin chose now to side with Hamas after he personally cultivated Russia’s relationship with Israel…..” And this pivotal moment is significant, as the Scriptures reveal. It appears that Israel will be dwelling in peace, possibly due to the false Messiah’s promises as he emerges on the scene and all involved agree to a cease fire, but as Israel will soon learn, this man is not their Messiah, but an imposter, for the peace he promises to uphold will suddenly come to a devastating end: “Thus says the LORD God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: You will say, “I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’—to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land.” (Ezekiel 38:10-12) “Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army. You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land……” (Ezekiel 38:15-16a) (We can only speculate as to when peace will come to Israel, whether it will be before the Antichrist takes over or if he is already in charge and bringing what appears to be peace when tragedy strikes. But we know that Israel will be desperate for him and his leadership; believing he is the Messiah they have been longing for. The same goes for the horses that God mentions the men will be fighting on. Could it be that that’s all they have left after so much violence, perhaps even nuclear violence?) There will be other developments like this, prior to God’s intervention which we read about in Ezekiel 39: “and I will turn you around and lead you on, bringing you up from the far north, and bring you against the mountains of Israel. Then I will knock the bow out of your left hand, and cause the arrows to fall out of your right hand.” (Ezekiel 39:2-3) Even here in America, our own leaders are changing their stance on this war. A recent excerpt from the NY Times: “More than 500 US Officials sign letter protesting Biden’s Israel Policy.” And although it’s not being covered in our media, even America is indirectly supporting Hamas. To be pro-Hamas is to be Anti-Israel. We are seeing antisemitic scenes violently breaking out on college campuses; videos show mobs surrounding Jewish students chanting “SHAME!” and even in some churches members are showing support of Hamas by protesting Israel. A paraphrase from a different video: “Biden is using a promise of funds to Palestine through Israel; indirectly funding Hamas, as this money will not go to the Palestinian people.” (Rock Harbor Church Bakersfield) But, America’s support should not come as a shock, as the U.S. has many secretive involvements, which is where the phrase “Shadow Government” comes from. Moreover, God has warned believers that war would come to Israel in the End of Days in Zechariah 12 and Joel 3. According to Prophecy teacher/student, Mark Hitchcock, this current war carries major prophetic implications (along with all the other teachers!) He has stated that the coming Psalm 83 war is a different sort of war because this is a time when most nations want to eradicate Israel, not believing they have a right to exist, and support Hamas because the woke attitude the world has adopted can be deemed the “oppressed/oppressor viewpoint.” This viewpoint rallies such support for the oppressed group that anything that group does in retaliation is justified in their eyes, no matter how underhanded or brutal. (And isn’t that exactly what we are starting to see with a climbing number of nations?) This definition outlines, for the casual observer, just where they get their justification and so-called moral logic. Of course we know that God is going to save Israel in the end as He promised. The Millennium kingdom is gloriously outlined in Zechariah in all of chapter 8; ending with a verse that reveals that at that time, all the peoples of the world will finally admire Israel and the Jews: “Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”’” (Zechariah 8:23)
