Sowing And Reaping
by Olawale Ogunsola

The principles of farming apply to living a life. In farming, you predetermine your harvest(s). That is, what do you want to harvest? This will determine the seed you will willingly look for and plant. Whatever you sow will surely determine what you will reap. It never changes.

Not only that, you can also predetermine an estimate of the quantity you want as your harvest. Although the Creator can influence the final harvest, you can have in your heart an idea of what quantity you want. If you are on very good terms with Him, He will bring in some positive surprises (s).

Not only that, all those who are close to the farmer are direct beneficiaries of the harvest, whether they were contributors to the seed sowing or not. They will partake in the harvest.

So it is with life.

If a man digs a pit, he has sown a seed. He has prepared for a harvest of falling into a pit. When he finishes the digging, his harvest is ready. It is a pity that he may not be the only person who will fall into it in the time of falling.

Do you know what? Even when he falls into it alone, those who are close to him will reap the grief associated with the falling. This can come in any form and various ways.
This concerns all most especially those who are not yet reconciled with their Maker.

Likewise, those who are reconciled know their Lord and there is an edge of security around them that cannot be penetrated by anyone. On the other hand, if anyone breaks the edge, by doing a wrong, Satan, the old serpent will bite him. He cannot do this without any edge-breaking. He will never fail to seize any opportunity to carry out his nefarious activities upon seeing an opportunity to do so. Although Job the perfect and righteous man did no wrong to break the edge, the edge was broken by the Lord's permission to make something great out of Job's life.
Satan could not do anything until the edge was removed. That is the life of those who know the Lord.

The singular act of breaking the edge will bring a harvest of evil which will affect the edge-breaker and all who are associated with him in different degrees and forms.

Beloved, what do you want to harvest? You hold the seeds in your hands. Think first before you take any steps towards sowing it. Do you love yourself and the people associated with you? Then sow good seeds in your hands and destroy all evil seeds and it shall be well with you in the name of Jesus Christ. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
