A New Age
by Stanley Davis Seen an article the other day about whether God is the god of the New Age and that really stuck in my mind. New Age covers many different beliefs, like crystals, yoga, and even UFO's to name a few. It has absolutely nothing to do with the cross. I don't understand how we as a Church have fallen so far. True Christians do not follow the crowd, we follow Christ. It should be evident in the lives we live. The Church is being tossed to and fro in a downward spiral that only Jesus himself will stop and turn around one day. With that said, it starts with you and me. We need to get back to serving the God of the Bible and not the god of the world. From beginning to end God warned us to follow him. Time and time again he showed us what would happen if we chose not to, yet people still do not care. The preaching and teaching heard and seen on the airways will no doubt cause many souls to perish in the pits of hell. Following the crowd will cause all to fall in a ditch. The Church needs to separate itself from the world. You can not win people with pizzas, worldly music, and such as we see in the Church today. I know what some of you are saying, we got to bring them in and then give them the word. Looking at the Church today, they are not being affected by the word that is preached. Patting someone on the back and giving the right hand of fellowship does not save. Real salvation brings a change to that person. The true word of God is what will save, heal, and deliver anyone who comes to Jesus. Myself as an example, It was not the religious festival in the Church that caused me to come to salvation in Jesus Christ, it was the power of the Holy Ghost moving in me to go to an altar of repentance. So let us put off the old man and his ways start fresh drawing closer to God through his son Jesus and do the work he called us to do.
