Run and Read!
by Tonja Taylor

…26 From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God intended that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each  one of us. 28 ‘For in Him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are His offspring.’…---Acts 17:26-28, Berean Study Bible (BSB)

We are meant to have deep, daily relationship with others, and most of all with our Father God and His Son, the LORD Jesus, through the marvelous Holy Spirit.

The LORD is so good! He is, once we have received Jesus Christ, His Son, as our Savior and LORD, our faithful, loving, patient Daddy God. He wants us to read His Word--His Love Letter to us--daily, but not feel guilty if we don't sit down and read it.

Here's a way to read the Word you may not have thought of, which the LORD prompted me to share with you this morning, as I was practicing it:  Post the Scriptures that the LORD draws you to on your bathroom mirror, your office wall, above your kitchen sink, etc.; anywhere you would look at it often.

Then, read it daly, and, if you're like me, more than once a day!

As I was doing that this morning--standing and reading the Word on the wall (over my kitchen sink)--while I ate my organic breakfast sandwich, it occurred to me that I needed to share this with my readers.

So there you go!

Praise the LORD, you can "run" and read the Word, without feeling like you have to sit down and read the Bible; without feeling guilty about it.

I totally believe in times to sit down (not just at church, but at home, in your one-on-one time with the LORD) and read the Word.

I also know, praise the LORD, that Daddy God loves us, His kids, much more than any performance. He does not want us feeling bad cause we missed a day of sitting down and reading the Word.

The vital thing is to experience His Word daily. I believe reading and speaking it is the most powerful way to meditate.

"Meditate" simply means thinking about and usually saying something over and over, until it becomes part of you--which is the major reason we must guard our hearts, eyes, and ears, and make sure that what we and our children are experiencing are not against God and His Word, because those wrong things will definitely cause trouble for us, even if it's not immediately!

Everything is a seed, and the Word of God is the only pure and incorruptible, and prolifically prosperous, positively life--changing Seed! Hallelujahj!

As I used to tease my darling daughter when I was homeschooling her in her 6 and 7 grades, "Repetition is how we learn. Repetition is how we learn. Repetiion..."

Repetition of reading---and even more powerfully, speaking it as you read!--is practice.

To get better at anything, usually, we must practice.

However, as we practice or repeat the Word of God, that is one of the most powerful, practical, positively life-changing thing we can do to "read and run" in life, following God's Plan.

We partner with the Holy Spirit, Who is God, to read and run with His matchless, eternal, unchanging, life-giving Word. Hallelujah!

And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.--Habakkuk 2:2, ESV
