There Are Some Really Good Things in There!
by Tonja Taylor

When the LORD stirs my heart to sow (give) to another, it's exciting!

It wasn't always that way; I've had to work through a process of understanding that, when the LORD moves on my soul to give something to another, whether it's money or a cherished possession, or clothes that I really like that fit me well, or something else, it's always a win-win--for me, the giver, and for the receiver.

…34 You yourselves know that these hands of mine have ministered to my own needs and those of my companions. 35 In everything, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak,  remembering the words of the Lord Jesus Himself: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” --Acts 25:34-35, Berean Study Bible (BSB)

When I receive my harvests, God gets the glory!

God is so awesome, and truly, it is more blessed to give than receive--because our hearts are full of joy and thanksgiving, as we share the Love of God (Who is the Ultimate Giver, and the One Who gives us good things to give!), and this causes others to be thankful to the LORD!

…10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your store of seed and will increase the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in  every way to be generous on every occasion, so that through us your giving will produce thanksgiving to God. 12 For this ministry of service is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanksgiving to God.…--2 Corinthians 9:10-12, BSB

When others experience God's goodness to them, it can lead them to repentance, to turn from doing wrong, and start revering the LORD, or to increase their reverence, and thus their obedience to Him--which will help others in the world see the living Christ. Hallelujah!

4 Or do you disregard the riches of His kindness, tolerance, and patience, not realizing that God's   kindness leads you to repentance?--Romans 2:4, BSB

So, the LORD gives us grace to realize that every good thing in our lives comes from Him, and when He stirs our hearts to give, and we know that we know that it's Him, then there is a definite Blessing in that act of faith--for us, and for those to whom (God through us!) we give. Hallelujah!

So, when the LORD stirred me to give a thing or two to my dear friend, and I got it from the cabinet, then He showed me other things. I got those, then He showed me that my husband and I had even more to give! Many minutes later, I had a trunkful of things I knew the LORD wanted me to give her; some that she really needed, and some that she would just like, such as flower seeds I'd recently bought, and more.

I found a box or two to use, and also an older suitcase in the closet. It worked really well to put several things in it, like a jewelry-making kit and tools, and other neat things; some that were useful, and some, just for fun, because her Daddy God knew what she liked, and delighted in her! Hallelujah!

As I gathered the items, I could feel the LORD's delight; His was mine, and mine was His! When I gave it to her, I would ask her every few days, when I saw her at church, or texted her, if she'd opened the suitcase. She works a lot and had just moved to a new apartment, but I was eager for her to discover the treasures that were in the suitcase and more--just because I loved her, and would rejoice at her delight!

"There are really good things in there!" I said, hoping she'd contact me soon, to tell me she had opened it, and that the LORD had made her glad.

I realized that, if I'm this delighted in giving these few little things to my friend, then how much more is our darling Daddy God--Who creates and sustains all life; Who is the Giver of every good thing!--in revealing to us the secret treasures and other goodies He has stored up for us, since before the world began?!

9 Rather, as it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 But God has revealed it to us by the Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.…--I Corinthians 2:9-10, BSB

Wow! God is our Father, Who adopted us on purpose to lavish His Love on us, and there is no limit to His goodness!  We cannot outgive God, and He is so very gracious and merciful, generous and loving and kind, and, all the more as we align with His perfect will (which He will patiently help us to do! Ask me how I know!), He will bless us all the more! Hallelujah!

20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to HIs power that is at work within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.…--Ephesians 3:20, BSB

Now, here are several more Scriptures on God's goodness that you can meditate on (read and speak and think about over and over; that is what "meditation" means!).
