Mistakes Into Miracles 2
by Olawale Ogunsola Every mortal man is imperfect and can make mistakes. Mistakes are in different forms and categories. They can come by word of mouth or action. A mistake can equally be made by not speaking or not doing something when you ought to. Man makes mistakes but the Lord works miracles. He knows the frame of man that he is but dust. So, each time a man makes a mistake, he may need to bear the pain associated with it but God can turn it into a miracle. This was the case with a faithful servant of God in his days as a Priest, his name is Zechariah, the husband of Elizabeth. On the verge of ending their barrenness, he had an angelic encounter and he made a mistake. The Holy Bible records, The mistake he made was the failure to believe the words of the Angel of God that brought him the good news of a man child to be born by his wife in their old age. The case of Zechariah is different from that of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. The latter was a Priest who must have read about the father of faith, Abraham, and his wife Sarah who had their child when they were stricken in years. On the other hand, Mary had a strong point to doubt the possibility of her conception without meeting a man. It was never heard of. No precedence. That is the reason the Angel explained to her how it will happen, Luke 1: 30-38. That mistake notwithstanding, the Lord turned it into a miracle. Can you see the Lord our God in action? He has the power to do wonders. He can turn mistakes into miracles. What mistake have you made? Do you regret it? Is it painful for you? Irrespective of how long it has been since you made it, turn to your God, and plead with Him. He will turn your mistake(s) into a miracle(s) and you will have reason(s) to praise God. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
