Walk It Out!
by Tonja Taylor Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]—Hebrews 13:5, AMPC Is it just me, or do most of us true Believers (meaning, those of us who have truly repented, asked the LORD Jesus Christ--Who shed His pure blood for us over 2,000 years ago on the cross---to forgive us of our sins and come into our lives and be our Savior and LORD!) want "waiting on God" to be over with really quickly, so we'll know just what's going to happen? The LORD our Daddy God almost never gives us more than the next step, but He does assure us that He is with us all the way in our Journey of Life! What's the answer? Walk it out. I've heard ministers say that, meaning, just keep trusting the LORD--moment by moment; rehearsing His goodness and faithfulness, mercy, grace, patience, generosity, and other forms of love; doing what you know to do to draw close to Him; helping others; using your gifts to expand His Kingdom, etc.--and you will find yourself making progress, and getting fresh breath from Him, the dear Spirit of God. Also, this can apply to our bodies. The LORD has recently shown me, during a very trying week and season of transition, to even make that physical: walking in a pleasant place not only is good for the body, but for the soul. Even a slow walk ups the heart rate and starts causing toxins to come out of the body. It helps us de-stress. Naps are good too, and I've had more and longer naps than normal, but getting out of the house, and getting fresh air and sunshine in a different environment are a really economical and easy way to feel better, and listen to the LORD! The LORD is faithful to His promises, and loves us beyond compare. We are His kids! Just like, even if my daughter or another kid I love has been rude, etc., I want them to apologize if needed, then to forget it, and not keep feeling sad and upset with themselves about how they’ve messed up. So how much more does the LORD want us to “forget the former things Most of us are raised with a performance mentality, and that has been (wrongly!) tied to our worth. The LORD has shown me this week that I've had some wrong thoughts about that; roots from the past I must allow Him to help me get rid of. My dear husband has been so good to pray with me and listen to me, and what a Gift from God he is! This revelation of the wrong roots, confessing them, repenting of them, renouncing them, etc., has definitely been part of "walking it out," as has been (with the LORD's help) the choice to continue praising, praying, reading and quoting the Word, going to my Bible-believing church, and using my gifts to expand His Kingdom--while incorporating self-care. Praise the LORD, His Love for us is perfect, and we can truly release all the negatives to Him as we walk it out, for He cares for us! Through books, courses, presentations, service, prayer, worship, and more, Tonja and her husband live to exalt God. Her series for girls, P.O.W.E.R. GIRL ADVENTURES, is now out (books I-V), along with LEGACY; YOUR HOLY HEALTH: VISIONS OF THE KING, and more. See the "River Rain Creative" YT channel. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
