DEAR SOUL, ARE YOU OKAY WITH CRUMBS?
by SIXTUS ONYEANUSI

1.

Soul, are you okay just with crumbs?

Beloved, come and feast, will you come?
O, come, for all things are ready.
Come and dine, come very early.

2.
Oh soul, are you okay with crumbs?
Come feast at the foot of the cross.
There shall hunger for sin be nailed,
And hunger for righteousness prevail.

3.
Come into the banqueting hall,
And meet your soul's urge, even more.
On the "platters" are served God's Word,
Come and dine early when it's warm.

4.
Each new morning while men yet sleep,
Heavenly bread drops on your bed.
Rise before the colds of the day,
Blow away its vapours of grace.

5.
Early I'll seek You Lord of grace,
Before the cock crows out in praise.
Grant that I may wake in Your arms,
To be lifted to higher higher ground.
