How to Grow Your Faith!
by Tonja Taylor No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God,21 Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised.--Romans 4:20-21, AMPC This morning, I was feeling kind of weird. My faith felt weak. Negative emotions were lightly bombarding me ("lightly bombarding" is not an oxymoron, actually a victory--the enemy used to intensely bombard my emotions with negatives, but the LORD has helped me learn how to recognize and reject and take authority over them, especially by repenting of and ridding the wrong roots out of my soul that allowed the enemy to do that in the first place! Praise the LORD, Who always causes us the righteous to triumph in every situation! Hallelujah!). But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere,---2 Corinthians 2:14, AMPC I was in the kitchen, where I have some Scriptures posted over the sink. Romans 4:20 comforted me--and reminded me that true praise and worship increases my faith, because the Presence of the LORD is in His praise! Hallelujah! But You are holy, O You Who dwell in [the holy place where] the praises of Israel [are offered].--Psalm 22:3, AMPC My gaze fell (not "my eyes fell on the Scripture"; that would be weird!) on the last part of verse 20: "...he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God..." Hallelujah! That was the answer I needed (Always, the Word has the Answer!)--to praise the LORD, and inspire my faith to rise! When we praise and worship the LORD, several things happen: First, we forget ourselves, which is usually our problem! Second, we magnify the LORD and become more aware of His Presence. Third, His Presence drives away the demonic forces trying to torment and trouble us. Fourth, holy angels go into action. Fifth, we can be healed and delivered and restored, in the glorious Presence of the LORD! I'm sure there are even more benefits. Search the Scriptures and ask the LORD for yourself, and He will reveal even deeper truths to you about the power of His praise! The Presence of the LORD will strengthen and refresh you. You can experience more of His Presence by listening and especially singing to true praise and worship; speaking and singing His Word aloud (It is thought by at least some Hebrew scholars that Elohim--Jehovah--sang the world into existence. Hallelujah!); thanking Him out loud, and just rehearsing at least a few things He's done for you; writing them down and meditating (which just means thinking about something over and over) on His goodness; and even doing acts of love as He leads toward others. He will help and guide you to draw closer to Him; to worship and adore Him; to grow your faith, as you give Him praise and glory! Let us all come forward and draw near with true (honest and sincere) hearts in unqualified assurance and absolute conviction engendered by faith (by that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness), having our hearts sprinkled and purified from a guilty (evil) conscience and our bodies cleansed with pure water.--Hebrews10:22, AMPC Hallelujah! Through books, courses, presentations, service, prayer, worship, and more, Tonja and her husband live to exalt God. Her series for girls, P.O.W.E.R. GIRL ADVENTURES, is now out (books I-V), along with LEGACY; YOUR HOLY HEALTH: VISIONS OF THE KING, and more. See the "River Rain Creative" YT channel. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
