Alternatives to Multi-Vitamins
by Tonja Taylor

10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till ita]">]overflows).--John 10:10, AMPC

I am not a medical professional, nor a certified health coach, but I have learned to eat well, take supplements, get exercise often, and most important, spend time with God daily, through worship, His Word, prayer, and fellowship with like-minded Believers.

After eating junk and not being in good health for a few decades, I learned to ask the LORD for wisdom through the years, and He has been faithful to help me.

I've taken supplements and have learned a lot. One thing I've learned is that a good "one-a-day" supplement is usually not enough for optimum health.

First, the supplements we take must be easily broken down by the body, so they can be absorbed. Otherwise, we are wasting our money.

Second, every body is different from every other body, no pun intended. God created each of us uniquely.

What works for one body for optimum health may not work as well for another.

So, ask the LORD, for He created and sustains your body every moment!

He may answer immediately in your heart, or through the advice of a loved one, or through an ad, or through an idea that floats up into your mind.

He will help you.

Meanwhile, here are my suggestions for alternatives to multi-vitamins:

1. Comprehensive protein meal mixes with probiotics, amino acids, and more. These almost always have a high concentration of needed multivitamins and minerals for good daily health.

2. Otherwise, chlorella and other algaes have a high concentration of most needed daily vitamins.

3. Wheatgrass is excellent, and considered the "perfect food" of just one source.

4. Vision supplements often have a good mix of what your body needs daily.

You can see there are almost innumerable choices and combinations, so ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to what is best for you. He is forever faithful, and loves you so much, He sent Jesus, God's Son, to die for you and rise again to give you abudant life (John 10:10).

Part of that abundant life of course, is excellent health!
