Imaginehaving sametelevision as your friend and after so many years of buying the TV, you visited your friend's house only to see the same TV exhibiting different features that you never knewyours could do. You will probably feel disappointed, right? Unfortunately, it is not the manufacturers fault because the manufacturer sold the television with the same operation manual. Your friend is not to blame either because you had access to same thing but only chose differently.
We often equate faith in God and Christ Jesus with access to all kingdom virtues and blessings. We think by going to Church and Mosque every day and praying every time guarantees access to all that God has to give. These things give us the right to everything about God but access is limited to individuals choice. In Gods kingdom, you are limited by your heart desires. Come, for all things are now ready. (Luke 14:17). We all go to the mart with different shopping lists and (even though everything is available in the mart) buy according to our desire. Just like our everyday life, in Gods kingdom there is opportunity cost nevertheless, access is limitless. If you want everything, you can have them all, you only have to pay the price. For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened (Matt 7:8). However, A man's heart deviseth his wayProv 16:9.
You can be a spirit-filled and devoted follower of God or even a preacher and still be very very poor if you dont follow the basic principles of financial blessings. Many believers today, unfortunately, are still getting this wrong and overwhelmed with anger and hatred for preachers living in abundance of Gods blessings. You hear things like, oh they have brainwashed their followers. It is a lie from the pit of hell. The fact that you chose not to access it doesnt mean that it is not real.
God will not release to you what you are not willing to give. In other words, your giving limits your receiving (Luke 6:38). It is not gimmicks or brainwash, it is as simple as that. What you hold in your hand doesnt multiply but what you give does. God is interested in raising giants that would raise many giants not self-centered giants (Prov 19:17). That is why He (God) tested Abraham by asking him to sacrifice a child that he has waited many years to get (Luke 14:25-27). A heart that is willing to sacrifice all for the giver is a pre-requisite for true divine blessings.
The blessings that accrue from giving transcend a generation, it goes beyond you. Today, we pray and draw down from Abraham's blessings, the blessings he gathered through purposeful giving and sacrifices.
Be compassionate, give, give and give for that is the secret to true blessing. It is unhealthy to eat all the time without passing out waste, if you do that, what is intended to nourish will kill you. Be a source of someone's joy today. Be blessed.
